Have you filed a paypal claim yet? If not, why not?
-
So he sold the book, doesn't have the money to refund and has now offered the book to someone for "free" if they will have it sent to CGC for grading?
That made my brain hurt.
Where did he say he doesn't have the money to refund? I saw the part where he says he doesn't have the money to submit it to CGC for a review, and offered someone to do it for him, but he never said he isn't refunding the buyer (he also never said he was refunding him/her either for that matter)
I thought someone posted that. Maybe not.

Do we know who the buyer is? I hope like hell they have already opened up a paypal claim.

I wonder if he bought it from this ebay seller:

That's what I call a babbling waste of time.
Everything you said was useless.

I refuse to read that dribble. Can someone P.M. and sum it up in a few sentences.
Here is a summary of the important parts:

So this is the only response posted by the OP in the trimmed/resto thread.

Not exactly clearing things up.

The dead cannot cry out for justice. It is a duty of the living to do so for them.
He is Conan, Cimmerian, he won't cry, so I cry for him.

Not to rehash that entire thread, but I believe someone confirmed with CGC directly that it was noted by them it was trimmed and then the customer stopped the grading process. I don't think it is really "heresay".
-
There are plenty of people who think a seller has no obligation to disclose this type of thing if they don't agree with other's opinion on resto.

Just arrived today. My Frazetta collection is really coming along.

I don't see why a buyer should eat return shipping charges if the books are not as described.

Someone has a pretty nice custom hot toys Captain America in the sales thread right now.

Just make it end. Take the return and pay for the shipping. You are not going to win this battle. And you will definitely lose the war.
-
What's the smallest dollar amount a nomination has ever been about? Would this be a record low?
Just pay the return shipping and be done with it.

Very nice. Maybe paint it a darker color.
-
Well I was happy with the price because I paid one dollar more for a CGC 8.0 than it would have cost me to buy a copy from Metro in CGC 7.0. Ebay pricing was even worse.
It's not a perfect copy but looks to have good eye appeal to it.
It looks very nice and I agree the price was good.

And it's still my pet peeve when folks call it, "The Bay."

Maybe it is just me, but anytime I see someone post that if it doesn't sell it is going to ebay I read that as almost like a threat.
-
Very nice. I've been trying to get a cheaper copy with zero luck.
-
I've made a pretty good dent in acquiring Frazetta art books. I probably have about 10 or so. When I see a good deal I try and snag it.

He actually thinks this is better for his reputation than if there was no buyer? That is pretty awesome.
