I find this odd also. When someone is selling thousands of copies to hundreds of individuals, usually the person communicating is not the person who is packing, and if they are, god help them, as there will be no way they are going to get them out in a timely fashion and pay attention to anything anyone has emailed them anyway. It is most effectively done in assembly line fashion and you are just going to get the books on the top of the stack when your packing slip/label is next. Thus, even more reason for Larry to cull anyone with what he feels are overly high expectations. Someone posted that Larry posted this: "I'll screen gorgeous copies for you!" "I'll screen my copies for the best for you guys." Perhaps he was setting unrealistic expectations.

I seem to have lost a bit of steam and focus on my Conan the Barbarian run. I'm sure I'll complete it at some point, but other things have my attention (and wallet) at the moment.

If the price isn't firmly established in recent sales or GPA I'd offer about 20% under what I'd be willing to pay to leave a little negotiation room when someone has the book but asks 50% over what you state you'd like to pay. I should probably just throw a number out there and see what happens. Worst that can happen is I get ignored.

I've thought about it for some books a bit harder to find graded, but not overly expensive. Part of my problem is I'm not sure how to price them.

As long as we are griping. ARH could use some help. Last week they announce on their facebook page that all three Frazetta statues will go on sale that weekend. Of course they don't say anything on their actual website. Which by all accounts is a complete disaster. I have confidence my 7 year old could design something better. So all weekend people are checking the website. Nothing. After some googling I find an ARH person made a post on a statue forum saying it would be Monday. That post was made before the weekend. WTF? You tell a random forum the real day, but your actual facebook page you leave bad information. They also said they would accept payment using CC instead of paypal and offer a 6 installment payment plan. Lots of people happy about that. Finally Monday evening I see they are for sale on the website. But they only take PP and only offer a 4 payment plan option. Once again. WTF? And once again, instead of updating this information on their won website (which people have left multiple comments asking questions), they post information on a statue forum instead. They say the website is having delays getting updated and they have no idea how long it will take. And as a nice kicker, they upped the price from what they quoted days earlier. Did they really not know what the price would be a few days before? And when they finally respond to the people asking about why the price did increase they said you better order it now before the price goes up. /rant

Yeah I've appealed the decision to grant her a refund. I'll file the police report or fill out the affidavit and have it notarized tomorrow. Good. Maybe that will slow her down.
