  1. I'm not sure either, I was busy posting and will check if there was an error or something but it's yours if you want it as far as I know
  2. Ok, that's it for the Big Two authors for today. I'll be back a little later with a nice stack of the classic Golden Age 40's/50's Sci-Fi titles from Avon/Dell/Popular etc. with those great lurid covers
  3. The Bicentennial Man by Isaac Asimov Fawcett Crest 24110 1st PB, 4th Printing, 1979 $12 Winner of the 1977 Hugo and Nebula awards for best novelette. Creepy cover art is uncredited to my knowledge. Very Fine Minus/Very Fine. Square and glossy, appears unread. Great off white page quality. Small area of impression on back. A great copy of an early printing.
  4. Asimov's Mysteries by Isaac Asimov Dell 0307 1st Paperback, 1st Printing January 1969 $10 SOLD to OtherEric Cover art by John Berkey. 1st PB collection of crime short stories. Lot's of crossover appeal with this pb. Fine. Square and tight. Covers bright with light creasing and edgewear. Light toning to interior.
  5. The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov Fawcett Crest P1829 1st PB, 1st Printing, Canadian Printing, "Printed In Canada", same priority as the USA printing per ISFDB June 1973 $15 SOLD to goldust40 Nice Charles Moll cover art. Excellent copy of the 1st pb of the 1973 Hugo Award winning novel. Very Fine Minus. Square and glossy, appears very lightly read with only a hair of a reader line. Great off white page quality. Tiny chip to lower right. A superior copy to most.
  6. Pebble In The Sky by Isaac Asimov Bantam A1646 1st small format PB, 1st Printing August 1957 $10 SOLD to goldust40 Cover art uncredited but in the style of Richard Powers. Fine Plus Plus. Square tight and glossy. Great off white page quality. Light reader crease and edgewear. Pretty copy.
  7. The End of Eternity by Isaac Asimov Signet S1493 1st PB, 1st Printing February 1958 $12 SOLD to OtherEric Richard Powers cover art on another glossy Signet. Fine. Square and glossy. Spine is tight, has some stresses and wear to the tips. Covers are bright and glossy. Has light reader crease and some finger bending. One hard crease on back cover and some non color breaking ones as well. Pages are near white, pretty amazing.
  8. The Currents of Space by Isaac Asimov Signet 1082 1st PB, 1st Printing December 1953 $20 SOLD to piper Great Stanley Meltzoff cover art. Another nice Signet, they are very tough to find without a lot of creases. Fine Plus. Square and glossy. Spine is tight, has slight slant, some wear to the edges. Covers are bright and glossy. Has light reader crease and some finger bending, mostly on the back and some surface wear. Light toning to interior. Has a factory "Signet" price sticker on front and back. Rare and cool!
  9. Glory Road by Robert Heinlein Avon V2202 7th printing of the 1st Paperback edition September 1967 $12 This printing is the first one with the awesome later, uncredited cover, which I like much better than the Paul Lehr original. Amazingly, this is another credit error on a Heinlein major novel. It is credited to Paul Lehr inside but obviously not him. ISFDB suggests possibly Gaughan. A very nice copy for this fat title. Fine Plus Plus. Square, glossy and looks unread but has a chip to the base of spine and few little edge defects here and there.
  10. Citizen of the Galaxy by Robert Heinlein Ace 10601 2nd print of the 1st Paperback edition October 1974 $10 SOLD to goldust40 Beautiful Davis Meltzer cover art. One of my favorite Heinlein novels. This copy is another condition rarity, an amazing copy Very Fine Plus. Square, glossy and unread, only a couple spots of soiling and tiny scrape on spine. Small neat date written on first page.
  11. Space Cadet by Robert Heinlein Ace 77731 2nd print of the 1st Paperback edition September 1975 $10 SOLD to goldust40 Cover art is credited to Steele Savage inside but is signed Davis Meltzer on the painting. One of the many reasons why artist crediting can be so difficult. It's obvious that the typesetter left the credit from a former book that Savage did paint but the signature on the painting is conclusive. This copy is a condition rarity, an amazing copy Very Fine Plus. Square, glossy and unread, only a couple spots of soiling. Small neat date stamp on first page.
  12. The Door Into Summer by Robert Heinlein Signet S1639 First Printing March 1959 $25 I think the Paul Lehr cover on this, the 1st pb edition, is at the top of the heap of the Heinlein covers. Just a haunting image. . Fine Plus Plus. Square and glossy. Spine is tight. Has light reader crease on front and back, otherwise only a couple spots of wear. (The diagonal line from the spine down to the bottom edge on the cover is not a crease but part of the design. It always throws me when I look at copies online!) Great page quality like the other two.
  13. The Puppet Masters by Robert Heinlein Signet #980 First Printing December 1952 $25 SOLD to goldust40 Very nice copy of the 1st pb with another awesome Stanley Meltzoff cover art. Tough to find like this. Very Fine Minus. Just a touch less condition than the one I sold last time. Square, glossy and unread. Has a little chip at the base of spine but only a couple spots of surface and edgewear otherwise.
  14. Ok, I'm going to get this train rolling again. I haven't posted Science Fiction yet so I'm going to run off a nice section of it for those who appreciate it. I've got a bunch of Heinlein and Asimov as well as a bunch of the 40's-50's classic titles so hope you enjoy it. The Green Hills of Earth by Robert Heinlein Signet #943 First Printing July 1952 $25 Very nice copy of the 1st pb with the awesome Stanley Meltzoff cover art. Tough to find like this. A bit of a sentimental copy for me as I only recently was able to upgrade this after carrying this copy around since the 1980's when I acquired it in New York as I was building my first collection. One of just a small pile I didn't sell off in the late 1990's. Fine Plus/Very Fine Minus. Square, super glossy and unread looking. Has some spine stress but no reader creasing and only a couple spots of wear here and there. Great page quality.
  15. Ok, I posted a recap on page 1, sold most of the books so far but there's some pretty cool books still on there and I am always open to offers, especially on multiples. I should be back this afternoon for some more and definitely will be tonight
  16. Ok. I have a ton more books to list but not a ton more time tonight. It's 10:20 here on the east coast and my daughter actually wants to hang out with me rather than watch me list books There's a pretty good pile left of all kinds of cool stuff like what you've seen so I'll get back at it tomorrow Thanks for all the takes, likes and comments. This is a pretty nice haven up in here
  17. Overboard by George F. Worts Popular Library 292 1950 $95 SOLD to mstrange Famously stark Belarski Bondage/Headlights cover, equal to or perhaps superior to "The Doll's Trunk Murder" cover, depending on what you like. Another one that never comes up for sale anymore and are usually roached when they do. This is a stunning example. I will regret selling this as popkulture always tells me... Fine plus. Square and tight, covers are smooth, flat as a board and uncreased. Colors are bright and glossy. A bit of spine wear with tiny tear at bottom. Page block slightly separating from the spine glue in the interior but still tight with no loose pages. Appears to be a tiny hit of marker in the lower right corner, very common on this black cover. I mention all these little points to come back around and say this is a stunner of one of the most famous Belarski covers and my former "Keeper"
  18. The Shrinking Man by Richard Matheson, Gold Medal S577 1956 $45 SOLD to mstrange True First Edition of this cornerstone horror novel. Classic cover art by Mitchell Hooks Even more widely known for the movie which came out a year after the book. The film’s title was changed to "The Incredible Shrinking Man" Fine minus/Fine A nice, square copy, mostly smooth front cover, has an odd little crease in the mid cover, and some spine creasing to the back cover. Nice, glossy and fresh over all though.
  19. The Case of the Dancing Sandwiches by Fredric Brown. Dell 10 Cent #33 One of the rarest and most sought after Dell Books. $75 SOLD to goldust40 A true first edition of a classic Fredric Brown novel with the famous Robert Stanley Femme Fatale GGA cover. Part of their series of 10¢ books--standard size, but much thinner. Very Good plus. Covers are smooth with some light soiling, colors are bright. Staples have rust as usual on these but overall a very clean copy. Some creasing on back cover. A nice looking affordable copy of a rare classic cover
  20. The Doll's Trunk Murder by Helen Reilly Popular Library 211 1949 $65 SOLD to Comical Situations Iconic violent Rudolph Belarski Bondage/Headlights cover. A book that never comes up for sale anymore as they pretty much get squirreled away in permanent collections and not let go. Very Good/Very Good plus. Square and tight, covers are smooth and mostly uncreased, colors are bright. The main image displays very nicely. Small spine split and a fair amount of spine paper wear. Main issue is old moisture wrinkling, mostly at the rear of the book. An decent looking affordable copy of a very difficult book.
  21. Ok, this has been so much great back and forth, I have enough time to wrap up with a small pile of true classic Golden Age Vintage PB top cover pieces that I'm gonna let go of. All "Fridge Magnet" type pieces, you'll see what I mean
  22. The Shadow, The Romanoff Jewels #9 in the series by Maxwell Grant Pyramid N3877 October 1975 $18 SOLD to N e r V Sweet gunshot cover by Steranko cover. Fine Plus/Very Fine Minus. Glossy copy with a smooth cover. Great colors and off white pages, minimal toning to interiors. Light edgewear. Spine wrinkle from glue shrinkage.
