  2. Nude On Thin Ice by Gil Brewer Avon T-470 Paperback original, first print 1960 $70 FIRM SOLD to Susanville Great bargain copy. Brewer was one of the best noir writers and this is considered one of his best PBO's. Combined with an ultra-classic cover, it's no wonder this one is usually listed in 3 figures. 14. Finally bagged a nice copy of the 1st Edition (PBO) of "Reefer Club" by Luke Roberts. Uni-Books No. 49, 1953 with the iconic Warren King cover. One of the toughest of the US drug books, it's compounded by being a "Uni-corn" with any kind of complete cover due to the paper thin covers. It has a nice chip off the back but still the nicest looking copy I've seen for sale in 7 years of looking. This completes the USA "Reefer Trifecta", along with "Reefer Girl" and the 2nd (Canadian actually) Edition under the Stallion imprint, re-using the censored version of the cover from "Basement Gang"
  15. They are definitely better for the most part than the cover art on the Black Lizards from the first revival in the '80's, although I will always be grateful for their efforts. I still read Black Lizards today, although I always prefer reading an original vintage paperback.
  16. Lots of excellent covers there. "Fright" is the king of the hill in that group as far as value/desireability imho. Looks like a real nice copy too
  17. Took a minute and cleaned up the thread, updated the Recap. Good to go. There's some high grade beauties and a couple of true classics still left there for perusal I'll be listing some more tomorrow.
  18. Ok, thanks all for visiting. I'm going to break for tonight. I have relatives over tomorrow so will resume on Wednesday evening if my time is clear
  19. Set of six Very Fine Pocket Book Science fiction titles with full silver spines $90 SOLD to Goldust40 I want to keep this set together as they came from the collection I bought - because of their uniform high gloss and near perfect silver spines, which are so prone to rubbing. Great cover art by Meltzoff, Bergey and Schulz among others. All flat glossy and unread looking. War of the Worlds has a small mark on the cover. More pictures available on request but rest assured, these look and feel like they walked out of a time capsule.
  20. Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice Ballantine Books 28126 4th Printing December 1979 $45 SOLD to piper Rare later printing with the amazing Gothic cover by Tom Hall. The only printing out of dozens to feature cover art rather than graphics. Square and tight with a reader crease, edgewear and crackling of the gloss finish.
