The Lurking Fear by H.P. Lovecraft Avon Books 136 1947 $100 SOLD to mstrange Another "Stone Cold Classic" First PB of this story/collection. Cover art by A. R. Tilburne swiped from Virgil Finlay's cover for Weird Tales, 1939 Fine plus. Square, tight and solid. Killer color strike, there are a few very light creases that don't break color, light edgewear. Pages are off white and supple, inner covers white. A really beautiful copy, especially if you know how tough this book is without hard creases. I may regret selling

Beyond the End of Time Edited by Frederik Pohl Perma P145 1952 $10 SOLD to BuscemasAvengers A true reader's dream. One of the best of the early anthologies. Has a Heinlein story (collaboration) that wasn't reprinted anywhere else for many years. Bradbury, Asimov and others too. Great cover art too, uncredited, looks like Harry Barton to me. Fine minus. Solid and tight for such a thick book, has light wear and creasing, pages toning but still presents well.
