Tilburne swiped from Virgil Finlay's cover for Weird Tales, 1939 Fine plus. Square, tight and solid. Killer color strike, there are a few very light creases that don't break color, light edgewear. Pages are off white and supple, inner covers white. A really beautiful copy, especially if you know how tough this book is without hard creases. I may regret selling

Square, tight and glossy. Has very light wear, has a light indent on cover where another book pressed on it. Another very attractive bargain copy.

  13. No, only 4 in the early 50's & 60's that I know of, this one, The Sirens of Titan (Dell) and two Gold Medals, Canary in a Cat House and Mother Night. He started getting a TON of pbs in the 70's

  16. The Long Tomorrow by Leigh Brackett Ace F-135 1st PB 1962 $10 Ed Emsh cover art. I don't know why I'm posting so many "doomsday" books today, better stay away from the windows today Fine Plus/VF minus Glossy and tight. Spine has slight lean, edgewear to spine, a spot of glue or something on back cover. Real nice looking copy.
  17. I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, Gold Medal 417 1st Print 1954 $100 SOLD to goldust40 The rare first printing of the First Edition of this Matheson horror classic. The cover art is Stanley Meltzoff's masterpiece. VF minus. Square, tight and bright with great gloss. A very nice copy, has some superficial creases and edgewear, light dust shadow on bottom back, slightly musty smell. Clean interior, a real looker overall.

Square spine, pages tight, bright colors, nice cover gloss. Light edge wear, bindery chip and wrinkle at top spine, light crease on back. A very nice copy.
  19. Beyond the End of Time Edited by Frederik Pohl Perma P145 1952 $10 SOLD to BuscemasAvengers A true reader's dream. One of the best of the early anthologies. Has a Heinlein story (collaboration) that wasn't reprinted anywhere else for many years. Bradbury, Asimov and others too. Great cover art too, uncredited, looks like Harry Barton to me. Fine minus. Solid and tight for such a thick book, has light wear and creasing, pages toning but still presents well.
