  1. I disagree. If you look, this bidder is just bidding on this seller only. No other sellers, and bidding on 11 of the sellers books. Looks like a shill bids to me.
  2. Plus looking at bidding history so far, looks like he is shill bidding.
  3. Here are the notes: very light color lift left top of front cover very light crease right bottom of front cover very light crease top of back cover Wow, now I really feel like it should be a 9.4. Haha. I don't have my books pressed, but maybe. Thinking.......... lol.
  4. Oh, I didn't know that. I will go to my LCS and get them then. Nice to know.
  5. I agree, yours is very close to mine. Very, Very close. If yours comes back higher then mine, then I give up. Haha, JK.
  6. I'm not being critical, I'm just trying to figure how they grade. I use to send in books like this a few years ago and they would come back a better grade, I think the standards just have changed over time. I am still happy with the grade. Just I thought it was a 9.4. No biggie. If I had the notes I could maybe see something I missed. Still am very happy for the book.
  7. Can anyone look up the graders notes for me? I will have to go back to my local shop to see if they can get them. But here it is.
  8. Just bought the ones I needed from www.DaleRobertsComics.com, Here are the new additions:
  9. I have the entire run for years now, but finally got a good copy of #1 at 8.5 "Been looking forever for anything above a 8.0", and started looking through my collection. I thought I would share what I have now. I'm looking to upgrade some graded books and make a run of 9.6's from issue 4 - 11. Once I have these issues I will then try to make the run to 25. It will take a while to do so, but I have time. Here is what I have now.
  10. I have a copy that is very close condition wise to this one, I should be getting it back from CGC in a week or two. But I am guessing a 9.4.
  11. I think there might be a bump in price if the new TV series is good.
  12. Click on the picture and it will take you to the listing to view the pictures. 1) I agree 2) I have bought a few books from him in the past, and haven't regretted it "yet". 3) Yes, that is what concerns me. 4) I always do. 5) Sometimes it works out sometimes it don't, I feel fine with the price as of now. I know, I see it.
  13. I won this book and don't have it in hand yet. Thoughts on grade? I have bought a few books from him before and usually they come back one grade lower. So I will go with a 9.2. As soon I receive it I will send off to grade with CGC. Will take more pics once received. https://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-MIGHTY-THOR-165-NM-9-4-1ST-HIM-1st-FULL-APP-ADAM-WARLOCK-NOT-CGC-99/362511180466?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648
  14. Wow, all I can say is that sucks. I would see if CGC can press it out and reslab it.
  15. Wow, nice catch. Would have never known that.
  16. I went and saw this book in person. I offered her $3500 cash on spot, but she didn't take it. I looked over the book and it in my opinion is pushing a 6.5 - 7.0 as is. Inside pages looked amazing. Then she pulled out an Four Color (1939 Series 1) #21 - Tracy cover that looked NM. I would give it a 9.4 - 9.6 easily. I have never seen a golden age book look so crisp. I offered her cash for that also but no go. Then she pulled out a Donald Duck Large Feature Comic (1941) #16 that is sitting in the 7.0 - 7.5 range. Offered her cash once again, but no go again. All of these books are her husbands that she found in her garage. Anyway, the other two were not listed because she couldn't find what issues or prices they were going for. She didn't know what she had, so I told her what the last one went for the one she had listed. She was going to keep it on ebay anyway and let it ride out. The other two I told her what they were worth and she is going to take my advice and send them out to get graded before she lists them. I told her that the Large Feature needs a press to command top dollar, but don't know if she is going to do a press as she knows nothing about comics. I offered my services to her because she is a very nice older lady and we have each others contact info if she needs any help. At least I got to hold the book in my hand!!!! lol.
