  1. Thanks! I have a bunch of the Reed paper toys featuring the Fawcett characters, so it's a natural fit. The Reed toys are warehouse finds, I believe, so relatively common but still really cool to look at. As far as the size being a detriment, you're so right: even this one long held by a collector was sitting in a comic box despite being in a magazine bag and board. Luckily the board was only curled down a bit without crunching the book.
  2. I'm going to pretend the Combat Casey is a flamethrower cover...
  3. Meanwhile, everyone else is dreaming about Heritage's newest gold-strike!
  4. Stymie is another that I usually associate with the “Gang,” and to a lesser extent, rivals Butch and “Woim.”
  5. I think you’re right. They did look similar. In the caricature, it looks more like Porky to me, but on the back cover, it does indeed look like Mickey. I fondly recall watching them after school in reruns along of course the Three Stooges.
  6. Few more oddballs, most in that $5 to $20 sweet spot. I’m honestly glad I’m not wired (or heeled) to chase big keys. Frankly, I’d be nervous to own most of the big books. I’m happy just playin’ around with stuff like this.
  7. Great book, and for sure under-appreciated! Is the cast shown Froggy, Spanky, Darla, Buckwheat and Porky?
  8. Always a good choice! That Yellow Claw 4 would be among the most elusive and expensive books overall, not just among Atlas. Some other solid books as well, especially the sci-fi and suspense books.
  9. That's impressive! I play that game often enough, just to test my memory. After a perusal, it looks like I have fifteen from that month, so kudos.
