  1. Grant just bought a nice stack of books from my sales thread and things couldn't have gone better. Great guy too. Enjoy your books Grant! Glad I was able to help knock a few more off the want list. Thanks again
  2. Matt bought another nice bunch of books from me and as usual everything went great. Matt's a great guy - great emails, good taste and immediate payment. Thanks a bunch and enjoy your books
  3. Robert is awesome. Quick payment, great emails and knows how to navigate a sale. Thanks as always my friend
  4. Dave purchased a whole gaggle of books from me and everything went swimmingly. Great communication, quick with the payment and a fine negotiator as well. Thanks and enjoy Dave!
  5. Outstanding transaction with Michael (as always). We completed a blockbuster trade that will have the Chiefs and Seahawks winning for another decade In other words we both managed to knock down a few books off of our want lists. Thanks Michael
  6. Always a pleasure doing business with Speedcake Charlie. Very quick payment, great communication and excellent negotiating skills. Thanks and enjoy
  7. I have a friend who does the same thing with a murder at her work. She's been caring for them for years. She does the payroll and is a total Goth Demon and everyone is afraid of her....they arrive at work and she gives them the evil eye as she feeds them.
  8. I hear this from a LOT of people and wish I could shop there but I feel I should support my LCS since I have one.
  9. A nicely presenting 7.0. Those bends and dings on the BC are pretty pronounced and there also seems to be a crease in the ULBC - not sure if it extends into the book and if so, how many pages.
  10. I'd say 9.2 with an outside shot at 9.4. The spine are allowable but it's the soft corner that keeps it at 9.2 IMO.
  11. I was looking at the wrong scan. Thx!
  12. 9.6 right now with the bend/ding next to Spidey's head. That is assuming there aren't any other NCB bends/dings on the FC or BC. Almost always, the culprit that keeps a 9.6 from a 9.8 is usually a light bend/ding or light fingerpint that you will only be able to see at an angle.
  13. What is that circle below John Jameson's left foot? I can't tell if it's on the book or not....
  14. The ragged spine, missing paper and heavy browning on the BC keeps it at 1.5.
  15. 4.0. I think some of you may be hammering this one a bit. It doesn't have any outstanding defects. It's biggest crease is maybe 3" at most. There's a lot of accumulated edge, spine and corner wear yes, but you need a bit more or a standout defect(s) to plunge into 2.5/3.0 territory. The staple understandably has the mileage of 2 staples but the book is pretty clean, color is nice and there aren't any substances, chips or pieces missing. No stains from what I can see either. I would expect dirt, maybe a stain or two, rusty staple, huge dogear, or a 1/2" piece missing on a 3.0. This copy isn't that bad. It has the look of a textbook VG and I'll put $20 it comes back in a 4.0 (or better) holder
  16. This ^ times a million. I learned to apply this mindset across nearly every corner of my life. Helps growing up when you're a comic book fan, Seahawks fan, Judas Priest fan, can't stand mayo or eggs and hate Cheers but love Seinfeld. And the Dark Reign storyline is the greatest thing ever produced in comics. And for the record I started with 1 comic - Fantastic Four #219 - and everything grew out from that one humble comic.
  17. I'm super jazzed to see this. The OG Suicide Squad (1987-1994) is probably my all-time favorite DC series (I'm a huge Marvel Zombie) and I was a bit letdown after the first SS but James Gunn hasn't steered me wrong. I enjoy his movies tremendously. I really thought that Elba was going to be playing Bronze Tiger tho...
