  1. I spent my time on Comic Connect. I like the auction format better (extended bidding time, etc). I agree, it seems strange to have both auctions at the same time, however, perhaps they figure whoever goes first is going to pull in the $$$$, leaving less for the other auction.
  2. Well, I didn't end up with the MM3. Hope one of you fellow "boardies" got it.
  3. I don't think we should be "blaming the victim" here. Hopefully no one would go up to a victim of sexual assault and say, "You shouldn't have been dressed like that" or "You shouldn't have been walking in that area". Hope you get your books back, Solar.
  4. It is an awesome book. I was surprised when I logged on (via my phone) and saw it available. Then I scrolled down and noticed you had grabbed it. Nice pick up. I have both the 1 and 2 as well. I think 1 is a bit underrated.
  5. Didn't you JUST buy Rick's 5.5 of this same book, William? Are you starting your own Slave Girl harem? Seriously good buy!
  6. Will we be getting more pictures of your feet (as in a previous thread)?
  7. So 6 pages total? I have lots of them, but not sure which ones. The ones I have, however, are single pages, not wraps, so I guess I am not much help anyway. Sorry...
  8. There are lots of Superman 1 pages out there for sale. Which ones do you need??
  9. My mistake. I thought you were referring to something in THIS thread that had gone away. Did not know you were referring to the sales thread. So................. (I guess no answers are in sight).
  10. I thought I saw Dreamtoreal1 start a new sales thread the other day, but it does not appear to be there anymore. Anyone know what happened to it??
  11. I was not alive when GA were printed. I started collecting GA in my teens.
  12. I don't think it matters if I go out or not. I can be sitting on top of my computer and if William "fast draw" CAV is playing, he will post the "take it" faster than I can read the description. He nailed two books out of another recent sales thread faster than I could post the "take it". Oh well, congrats to William (my wife appreciates all you do to save me $$$$).
  13. I hope you get the rest of your books back! That has got to be a horrible feeling.
  14. I should probably just leave this alone, having already stated my opinion, however, I guess I just can't wrap my head around the "seller's" actions. If I understand everything correctly.... Paul offers $300 + postage for the book (which is accepted). Another "buyer" comes along and offers "something better" via some "negotiation". The book was only listed at $375, so I think it is safe to say the new "buyer" did not offer the full $375, however, let us assume that he did. This means the "seller" is now going to make an additional $75 (or less) minus the cost of the free shipping (as listed) to the new "buyer". Is that really the value of a reputation and a man's word these days; <$75? If that is the case, then it is a sad world we live in; very sad indeed.
  15. Paul, Please do not take my post as a sign that I do not agree with you. I posted the original posting, as some people seemed to be unable to find it and the wording was in question. I am very much a believer in the concept of "A deal is a deal" or as we said in the old days, "a handshake is a deal". To me a man's word is everything. It would have been better if you had posted an "I'll take it per PMM" as is customary, however, I don't believe the seller should have continued ANY negotiations with ANY other parties, once a deal was agreed upon. As in contract law, there was an offer, there was acceptance, and there was consideration.
  16. Here is what the sales thread said (although it was edited at one point, but that may have just been for the price drop. IDK)... Mystic #18 CGC 1.8 with WHITE Pages! features a memorable Bill Everett horror cover for "The Russian Devil!" The cover depicts skeletal communist party official literally dragging the corpse of an unfortunate citizen from his grave. it presents extremely well for a 1.8. it baffles me. it looks way better to me $450 obo Now $375! Shipping: Free in the US (No international shipping) Payment: PayPal only My Ebay: www.ebay.com/usr/unlimited-power75 feedback of me as %100 seller since 2003 or www.Instagram.com/dreamtoreal1 for references and also you can see other books I have there for sale First in the thread trumps all else. Feel free to drop any questions my way via PM or if you need more pics. thanks guys! Have more golden n silver age coming soon
