There are no hard feelings. You have just posted so many great books that I would have loved to have picked up, but unfortunately they were often posted very late in the evening or after midnight eastern time and by the time I saw them the next morning, they were taken. I was excited that last night you were going to start posting books at 7pm and I would finally get a chance at some of the awesomeness you have provided to the board members here. As for your numbers, I believe you will hit them and I am routing for you to hit them. I just commented that it is not a "foregone conclusion". My guess is you are a numbers guy (like me). You set goals for yourself and you achieve them. That is likely why you are so successful in the solar industry and why this thread is and will continue to be a huge success.

Did I miss something? I don't think I saw 200 - 300 books, horror, Superboy, Superman, or Random GA.

Action #1, however, I am rather certain that boat has sailed. Turned down a lot of copies over the years thinking I could just pick it up a little later. Unfortunately a little later and price went through the roof, sky, and beyond. After that I would say Suspense Comics #3. Seems if the boat hasn't sailed on this one, it certainly has moved away from the easy shore line.

I don't think this was eBay as the seller said he was unhappy with the high commission fee. I am not aware of eBay charging the buyer a commission. It would be great if the OP could let us know what auction site and provide more details.

I think it is always a good idea to check out S&H rates before bidding, HOWEVER, in this case I think I would let them know that they must have put the decimal point in the wrong place!

After missing out on several books I would have liked to have added to my collection (had I been awake at the time they were offered), I decided to stay up a little last night. Then the FB game was over (maybe 11:45) and I decided to call it a night. Unfortunately, this thread does not even really get rolling until after that time.

Jimbo, I too believe this thread will hit 250k views, however, I don't think it is a foregone conclusion. To hit 250k views in 45 rounds, one must average around 5,666 views per round. At first the rounds were easily clearing that number, however, viewership seems to be dropping off. Last night I think this thread saw around 3k views. I think this drop in viewership is a result of many things, not the least of which is the west coast time difference, and the late starting times. I think many of us on the east coast have trouble with staying awake for threads that START at 11pm est. I hope Solar crushes the 250k mark, makes a profit, and makes many board members happy with their purchases.

Last night I saw this thread and posted a photo (very poor quality photo) of some early Four Color Donalds. To my great surprise I actually received 4 likes. Since a few of you actually liked that IPhone photo, I decided to pull out the next 50 books and snap another photo (again with the I phone). Hopefully, someone will enjoy this group shot (again, please forgive this poor quality of the photo)....
