  1. I would like to nominate the USPS

    maybe not the entire USPS

but maybe just the ones responsible for updating the status of 3 packages I'm waiting for to "out for delivery" at 9AM today

THEN at 820PM this evening updating 2 of those packages to "delivered in/at mailbox"

I've been home all evening... I have not recieved a single piece of mail today

    And

The remaining package still shows as "out for delivery" 11hrs ago

    rantrant

I opened up 2 cases online with USPS a few minutes ago

This is a first for me. I really hope these packages show up

  2. Picked these up recently:

Had no idea the Nightmare was Byrne's first (?) work; just thought it had an awesome cover.

Are there any other issues in the Kung-Fu and/or Nightmare line to look for? Also had a lot of horror mags like Vampire Tales, Zombie, etc. Anything noteworthy there? They are not high grade; mostly Fine-ish.

    That is an awesome cover.

seriously, i love that image.. the panther... the pooling blood... decapitated head raised to the sky

    very haunting

yeah, well... what are ya gonna do :sorry:

i spoke to the seller several times about the necklaces and he told me that his father used to buy & sell all sorts of movie memorabilia - he obtained 4 of these from him along with a bunch of other stuff.

these were the last 3 that he put up for auction... im pretty sure this is the original packaging for the coffin necklace.

So basically, these babies are exactly the same as the day they were shipped out by Warren/Captain Co.

on the bright side there are still 4996 other ones out there... right

  4. lol ive been looking for an old tv like this to marry with my nintendo.

believe it or not, these have become kinda tough to find... and when you do find one people are usually asking way too much money for them

anyhow, after I get it cleaned up I'll share a photo.

So that is why you went for it? Forgive me but haven't you heard of a conventer type unit where you can marry a LCD tv with a Anglog video game system? I have one that I used to marry my old VHS machine to a LCD tv. Not sure if I still have it ... It's somewhere in storage here.

yeah, im well aware of all that.

being a collector of retro games & systems - having a set up like this is more for the nolstalgia

  5. The Martians and insectoid monsters from my set of Mars Attacks cards are probably at the top of my list, but I'm also partial to the creatures featured in the Topps Outer Limits set as sampled from the wrapper, as featured in Count Zero's avatar. I did like the Aurora Witch from the set of monster models too!

anyone collect wrappers? here are some of mine

I've been following the marx monster figures for a good while - but I've never looked into purchasing one of these marx haunted houses till now... I had no idea they were so coveted!

  7. Did anyone have this? I used to play with this for hours.

never got to play with this, but always wanted to!

my goodness, let's not forget all the creatures lurking in trading cards, monster flicks, fan zines, and tv shows. it seems every time I turn around I discover some new monster I never even knew existed! horror hosts would sometimes even invent some sort of ghoul or whatnot just for a 30 second bit! you, know what... this reminds me of a couple really great books by Wayne D Barlowe... "Barlowe's guide to extraterrestrials" & "Barlowe's guide to fantasy"

i highly reccomed them, especially the one on extraterrestrials! amazing art!

  8. There are so many! hm Phantom of the Opera comes to mind.

to this day i still can't choose one :sorry:

invisible man, creature, drac, frankie, wolfman... i can't decide! and those are just the universal monsters. don't get me started on all the ghoulies and beasties that weren't in the mainstream limelight... im sure you've all read plenty of monster mags with a ton of those in there too...

there are just way too many for me. as a kid I would make a list of pros and cons of monsters, what I liked about them and what I didn't. (complete with sketches and diagrams too! :insane: )

THEN of course I'd go and pick up an all new monster mag and read about some ghoul that I had never even heard of before and I'd have to start the list all over again.

    ugh
