  1. It's been two weeks! Someone post something! I was wondering when those Green Rivers 80 pagers would disappear off Colmore and show up here. =) There was a Superman too eh?
  2. Suprised my half-hearted bid on this one on comiclink was accepted. $20 or so under 8.0 guide. Will probably be cracking it out and adding it to the raw collection as it lacks a 37. Now just one book missing 35 - current.
  3. Superman: Secret Identity mini. Issue 4. Great series if ya haven't read it. I'm by far and away a Marvel guy, but the both of us just loved that series. =)
  4. Birthday Present for me! My woman is the best! My first real comic art.
  5. I like that one! Nice! I'm diggin it! What was kinda sweet about this copy is that it completed a little run I had managed. I now have Ohios 20-25. =)
  6. Absolute beaut! You got the COA with it, too? Yep! And I have to say, the book looks like a VF+, I bought it as a VF+, but the cert says F+. *shrug*
  7. And as hard as this is to find in high grade, I'm super stoked to have a raw pedigreed copy. The other two are obvious, this one is a Northland.
  8. Page 7? For shame! My 11th or 12th Ohio DD
  9. Oops! Certainly wasn't expecting to win this for $4. I think thats a bit off guide price, heh. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N%3AIT&rd=1
  10. Darn, thats a lot of raw Green Rivers! Nice!
  11. Harley doesn't have many left. Shin I think has a group of Green Rivers I think. Steer clear of his Sgt Furys though, they, are, ahhhh, smelly, yeah, they smell like brains. Damned serial killers!
  12. And to think I've considered paying almost twice what you did for one. Nice price on that. =)
  13. Thanks to a fellow forumite for these: http://cgi.ebay.com/MIGHTY-MARVEL-WESTER...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/MIGHTY-MARVEL-WESTER...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. That's practically softcore. This belongs in Babe Test, no doubt!
  15. Those Flashes were 1 day sales. Its likely anyone else interested just didn't notice them.
  16. So I'm exceedingly happy about this buy considering the book before it, #27, sold for $91 a few days back and it was only a .5 upgrade. Woot! Still can't bring myself to crack the slab like I aimed to. Guessing I won't in the end.
  17. So it was you! Darn me and my being-on-vacationness. Book looks nice!
  18. Saw that FF, bid you up a bit on the Strange Tales I think. Same guy had the Green River ASM Ann 1, would have loved that book!!!
  19. No pictures but I picked up a really solid Ghost Rider (70s/80s series) from 20-50 for $80ish. Books are all ultra high grade, 9.2 - 9.8 beauts. Its nice to stumble upon a freshly added BIN that works out for ya. =)
  20. My thinking was, "If you pick up a raw comic, how would you possibly know if it was a Stan Lee file copy?", but your post answers my question, that they were all slabbed before they were sold for the first time. So I assume that means every Stan Lee file copy is in a slab, unless someone cracked it out, which wouldn't be too smart. Hehe, actually, I'm still not certain whether I'm going to crack that out or not. Its not a pricey book, and I'll still have record of the sale (printed out, pictures of it in the slab even if necessary) and the CGC label to go with it. *I* know its a File Copy! The only slabs I have until that one shows up in the mail are Spideys, but I have a nice run of OO Furys in an acid free box waiting for that one to be added to it. =)
  21. Two questions: 1) What indicates that the comic is a 'Stan Lee File Copy' 2) How do you determine the value of such a comic? Not sure what you mean by indicates. Its there on the slab. =) But if you are asking what 'Stan Lee File Copy' means, well, it means the book was one of Stan Lee's personal copies. He kept and used them frequently as reference material, so its the rare book that is ever in high grade. The entire collection (I think) was sold by Heritage in two chunks in 2002 (or 2003). All the books were first CGCed before they were sold. With these books in particular, its hard to really figure value. I got that for less than the cost of slabbing it. Its a low grade book that would normally sell for $3 without the slab or the provenance. I just wanted a book that Stan Lee had. =) I didn't need it for my pedigreed run cause I have the Northland 28.
  22. It was cheap, what the hell eh? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6546447322&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
  23. Thanks to ft88 for some sweet Copper/Modern X-men and a few very nice Spideys!
  24. Grats! Naturally, this means we'll be seeing a few dozen New Adventure 26s on ebay in the next couple months.
