  1. The babe in this video is wearing the most 90s of jackets. also, thanks for sharing.
  2. I'm reading through that thread now. What a trip! Do you still have them all?
  3. The contemporary photographs of the magazine stands where the original collector bought many of the comics is very neat.
  4. The last two packages sent to me via usps have arrived a full day early, and no they weren't scheduled for delivery later than usual in the first place. I've noticed mail arriving more quickly in general ever since the lockdowns started. I'm in Manhattan and have no idea if that matters at all.
  5. I only have very short runs complete so far: Planet of the Apes (comic not the mag) The Cat (four issues count, man!) Inhumans John Carter Warlord of Mars Logan's Run Marvel Chillers Marvel Feature vol 2 mmmm Red Sonja Monster of Frankenstein Secret Wars Skull 2001 a Space Odyssey War is Hell Warlock Where Creatures Roam I am four issues short of completing Thor's solo title up to #257, the only key missing is 126 I'm getting really close to finishing X-Men #94 through 144 Then I have loads of other similar smaller runs that I'm missing 1 or 2 or 3 issues out of. Long term I'm working on Hulk from his first appearance in Tales of Astonish up to wherever I decide to stop, and X-Men from 1 through 144. Le sigh
  6. My ticket arrived today! Paid $10 bucks for this lovely
  7. Yep, I stopped buying moderns a couple of years ago now and it still feels great!
  8. I'm way too compulsive to stalk anything. If i have the means, I click the buy it now button as soon as possible This is good and bad. It means I get a regular stream of new comics into the collection, but it also means I don't own any major keys/grails as I can't make myself save my comic book money up long enough. le sigh
  9. A recent post on the CGC facebook page is a solid illustration of the issue, I think. Guy buys an X-Men #94 that is clearly a 7.5 or MAYBE a Very Fine at best due to color breaking creases and other general wear, but convinced himself it could be a 9.2 with a nice press and clean. I just hope he didn't pay too, too much more than he should have. Even though it is still a really nice copy of that book, and I don't know what his motivation was for buying it (did he really want the book? Is he a wannabe dealer flipper and thought he was getting a steal on a NM- being sold as a FN/VF or VF-? Does he just spend too much time on facebook in general among the "press it all and let god sort it out!" crowd?)
  10. Those people will just have to learn from experience and realize they were wrong. The worst downside I can see is that less experienced collectors, flippers, whatevers might be willing to pay more for a raw comic than they should if they think "a press will fix that subscription crease right up!"
  11. Forgot to share here when I got it. Another sweet board pick up
  12. I will take your boxes all of them. the mag boxes too
  13. Furthermore, 35 stories? That wouldn't stand out on the upper east side these days, much less in midtown.
  14. Call me skeptical, but that rocket blast scheme seems iffy...
  15. Bought a super nice slabbed Subby 1 that arrived well packaged, safe and sound. A+ thanks! Will definitely look for future sales.
