what an epic collection to see like that! I wonder how many of those cracked ones were restored though? Not to downplay the sheer might of what was on the table, just wondering.

yea but to that 5.5s defense I saw that auction the other day and marveled at how awesome it looks. Like, whats wrong with that book? Looks better than my 6.5 ( from the front at least )

yea that piece of paper does have quite the perfect drop shadow on the right and bottom, when its a piece of paper, it'd probably be less... shadowy. But still - I dunno?! !!

I always wondered who did this sort of stuff. think they even know comics or they just filtered for high to low expensive stuff to fake auction? if they know comics... that's extra messed up!!!!

I say this cause while I dont plan to sell the sc4 in my sig any time soon, it's in the other company holder and I'm ultimately really happy with the book at the price I paid. But I know eventually If I do decide to sell I should get it CGCd - it's a 7 but sometimes it keeps me up at night wondering what they'd grade it at.....

they did tighten the grading, the other company isn't comprised of a bunch of bums and competition is healthy. I bet down the line the prices even out more but for the time being, I'm in agreement that you can score a deal on the right book just cause its in the voldy, get it in a cgc case and make a fast profit on a key. I mean come on, 8.5 or not that af 15 was a steal at what it sold for. Ol' Mr Magik Woo's book would have gotten more in a different holder, what's the worst that book is? a 7.5? No way it's less, maybe it's more. Yeah if I was selling a book like that right now I'd have gotten it in a cgc first.

the brightness of the red? Could come from Age. The far right side shows less flame on the counterfeit, but surely these weren't all cut exact - I'm lost!

how can you tell a fake for this book? Those two look sooo similar

its not terrrrrrible... I like my 6.5 better, but not terrible.....

can someone post a link to the supposed ugly 7.5? I checked all the usual suspect sites but dont see it anywhere
