  1. it's worth a shot but I believe when it applies to the eBay bucks promotions the winning bid and payment must have fallen within acceptance and the end of the promotion. Regardless, I would try it.
  2. not as good as a percent dollar off coupon but a 10% back in ebay bucks on $50 + when using the app (or 8% back when not using the app) just popped
  3. thank you, appreciate it. Just checked and they went to verified this morning. I used the online form and they were received on Friday according to tracking and went to verified today.
  4. The ever so rare triple crown of posting. Brilliant, Hysterical, and Original dont see that every day
  5. How many days after delivery are the books being logged into the system?
  6. +1 I have been using Gixen for several years and never had a single problem
  7. Use code PICKUPTEN by 8am ET tomorrow for the discount up to $100
  8. you can still be recognized as a Top Rated Seller and not offer returns and offer 4-day processing / handling you just wont get that 10% discount on Final Value Fees.
  9. I just verified and the benefit is part of being a Top Rated Plus Seller. For maintaining that level I receive 10% off of my Final Value Fees for every listing I post that offers at least 30 days returns and 1 day handling.
  10. Though not exactly as the OP was envisioning PSA offers something close with sport card autographs called eBay quick opinion. For the fee of $10 they will look at the auction you are questioning and give a general opinion as to the autographs authenticity based on the listing. So instead of sending a book right to CGC instead CGC might consider offering a quick opinion on grade or restoration or trimming without being held to that "best guess". Personally I think one can do the same by posting in "Hey Buddy, Can You Spare a Grade?" section and get the thoughts of boardies to make a solid assessment of the book in question but I could also see why someone might not want to share a live auction with the boards and potentially increase competition for the listing.
  11. I do offer returns on eBay up to 30 days in order to take advantage of the Top Rated Seller or Power Seller discount on listing fees (I cant remember which program it applies to) and as Cozmo-One said I might as well get the discount because even without offering returns an item can be returned regardless. Knock on wood, my return rate has been less than 1% so it hasn't been a problem but I also display multiple images, take care in packing and when dealing with raw books grade conservatively.
  12. Just watched the first two episodes and really enjoyed it. Not at all what I had expected.
  13. Recently added 20 or so CGC slabs to my site Blue Label Comics Please feel free to post or PM with any questions and thanks for taking a look. I have had some well received sales threads on the boards and my eBay id is PJR55CT with over 5,000 feedback at 100% with glowing endorsements. Best, Patrick
  14. I agree that time was not on my side in this case and if I had acted within the eBay window then I wouldn't be in this spot. I also cant send in every book I purchase individually for grading or the my costs would be absurd but I can certainly count pages which I will absolutely do moving forward.
  15. Unfortunately, I do not - I can see it under purchases but can no longer go into the description unless there is a work around that I am not aware of
  16. Sorry for the delay in responding and thank you all for the suggestions - I appreciate it. I think I am going to try to get on the phone with PayPal and try to explain things verbally versus through email.
  17. That is the route I took more or less, I said if I sold a TV without any inner components or a computer without a mother board they would stand by me and not the buyer as long as I didn't describe it as being complete.
  18. First off, I realize I did not count the pages when the book was received and I learned my lesson so no need to comment on that as I am fully aware. So i purchased a copy of Superboy 68 off of eBay when a coupon was active. I received the book and eventually sent it in to CGC. The book came back a few weeks ago as a .5 blue label with a missing page. I reached out to the seller and he said he was not responsible. My time to file a claim through eBay had passed so I opened one through PayPal. I just got this response that my claim was denied... Based on the merchant’s response and the information we have to date, we have to deny your case. This decision was made because we have found no evidence that the item was misrepresented. The merchant sold the item with no grade value, so it cannot be determined that the value was reduced. So they focused on the seller not giving a grade and therefore he was protected. I have appealed saying it is not about the grade but rather a book that was not identified as having missing pages. I was very surprised at the ruling. Patrick
  19. I just picked up a TMNT #2 blue label that I hadn't noticed (wasn't disclosed in description and a photo was shown at an awkward angle) that it had a note that there were two small pieces of tape on the interior. I am not looking for any recourse or compensation but I was curios on a few things. So being on a blue label does that mean the book had a great deduction for the smaller pieces of tape and were it not for the tape would have graded higher? Why does some tape result in a note while others books may get a PLOD? I have to imagine if I ever decided to sell I would likely get less because of the note? Thanks in advance for any help! Patrick
  20. anyone else having trouble with their listings showing? i listed a dozen or so items that show on my phone and aren't coming up on searches and little to no views other than when i click on the item
  21. Call them and they will send you an email (they require it over email to have documentation) requesting the change and you need to reply with the invoice number and the new address
  22. I don't disagree but your post brought up an interesting thought. I have been to some comic shops who stamp their Free Comic Book Day Books with their shop name and there is often even a spot on these books for that stamp to be placed. So this would be a valid reason for the stamp - an advertisement for the store who bought something and in turn gave it away for free. Putting aesthetics aside should that result in a drop in grade and resulting diminished value? There are some FCBD books that have value so this may be a realistic example.
