  1. thanks for the insight, have you moved your collectibles insure elsewhere since?
  2. Which is exactly why I do not want to call in or email in an address change for my sub that they had received prior to this shipping restriction going into place. I am not sure what to do about it short of taking an afternoon off from work on the day it is scheduled for delivery.
  3. great, I am glad you are batting 1.000 with your customer service interactions and I hope nothing more than that continues for you and thanks for all of your time tested fool proof solutions; they are much appreciated. I saw first hand what could and did go awry with this new process at FedEx on Tuesday night so forgive me for not sharing your eternal optimism..
  4. I will disagree with you on this. A paper trail might and I emphasize might help if my books are lost or shipped somewhere they shouldn't be but personally I am not going into this thinking I am content because I could always fight to get reimbursed for the value of the books that are lost - I don't want nor do I need that aggravation especially when there was nothing previously broken in this process from my perspective. This is a new process for us and that means it is also a new process for their staff. So to say eazy peazy just email them I feel is short sighted. There are some great and I mean great customer service people within CGC but despite that I have still had some challenges on occasion (Barbara is amazing in accounting but try getting anything from Jose). So I am supposed to think that even though CGC didn't not proactively address this change at all with their customers that they internally had meetings and worked through each step of what needs to happen to ensure nothing falls through the cracks? Sorry but I don't share your confidence that this happened when there was zero outbound communication to begin with.
  5. I don't disagree with you but the point is if there had been communication from CGC on the change I could have proactively addressed it and would have not found myself in this position. On it being smoother from here on out I think I have one more hurdle to get through and that's a sub that should pop next week. So based on info in this post I can call and have the address changed and utilize the method you have recommended (which I will moving forward) but there is an uneasiness about giving an address change over the phone and having to hope that everything was taken down properly and the package ends up where it should. Fingers crossed.
  6. I was able to do this yesterday but only after asking for a FedEx supervisor. It was one of the biggest s shows I have ever been involved in. First it was a half hour drive. Then Security had to call in my tracking number and you waited for them to walk it out. I was told the walk was like an eight of a mile. He comes out the first time with no package and says the trucks not there. I explain the supervisor said the package was there and being held and that I drive 30 minutes for it. He goes back. Again he comes back with no package and says the trucks there but it’s not unloaded. I say I’m not dealing with this agin tomorrow. He says I’ll unload the truck. He comes back a third time saying they unloaded the truck and no package. So does that mean it’s lost? Before he can answer the phone rings saying they found it. Another guy walks it out. I Was there over an hour.
  7. Same for me - each and every time I have had them held at FedEx and it was perfect with no inconvenience whatsoever.
  8. I submit to CGC regularly and this is a first. Since Friday when I was notified my CGC shipment had shipped via FedEx I have been trying to have it redirected to the FedEx location a few miles from my home. When I get to the final stage of the request it just keeps spinning, no error or notice of any kind. I assume FedEx is having a software problem so I wait until Monday and try again, get a little further but still no luck. Delivery is attempted today but no one is home so I try the automated voice assistant to have the package held. Again no luck. I get an agent on the phone who says CGC put a note on this delivery that it can only be delivered to my home. This makes no sense so I ask for a supervisor who claims the same. I just call CGC and I am told there are new shipping restrictions that eliminate packages from being redirected. When I asked why I was told for security reasons. I asked if this was just for FedEx and the answer was for all carriers. When I asked why customers weren't notified they didn't have an answer. This is wonderful. So now I have a FedEx package that is in limbo and unless my wife or I take a day off from work cant be delivered and will be returned (hopefully to CGC). So in other words the likelihood of my sub being lost has gone up exponentially. Thanks CGC!
  9. I liked it and agree, Black Manta looked cool
  10. this is a targeted promo and not available to everyone - I have generally gotten them but for some reason this time I wasn't so lucky
  11. Sorry, for clarification is it one question per day or one question per person per day? I thought the latter but didn't want to assume.
  12. Thank you all for this wonderful contest. I do it for the enjoyment and being humbled and will pass on a prize.
  13. I recently had to go by feel for the weight of a package because I didn’t have access to a scale. This was for an eBay transaction and a few weeks later I received a notice through eBay that the postage on my package was insufficient and that I was being billed for the difference. i prefer that 1,000 times over a customer being billed for my mistake. so if you transaction was through eBay it would be safe to assume the seller has already been billed IMO.
  14. agreed and in addition cover art by an artist that contributes absolutely nothing to the story art
  15. I hope but I think you are mistaking it for the punk rock Mohawk emoji
  16. After submitting grades I received the dreaded popcorn emoji it was a good run while it lasted
  17. I went 7.5 on the JIM 82 knowing how tough CGC can be on stains much of the time and had an 8.5 on the ALF
  18. I came in at 5.5 and 6.5 and am happy to walk away from this round with positive points
  19. thank you! if I am able to stop in to either I will be sure and pass along any feedback.
