  1. That bag you have it in should be carefully discarded and should be replaced with a new one and a backing board. Old plastic bags turn sticky and greasy feeling because the plasticizers leach out. You probably don't have a replacement handy, but maybe you could stop at a comic shop and they could set you up with one bag and board, out of respect for the comic.

  2. So, I claimed 3 books on the 6th, and this evening I get a PM from the seller saying he's sold the books to another buyer because I didn't respond to his PM.

Now, I've only received one PM from the seller (telling me he sold my books), but does this time frame, 3 days, seem extreme to anyone else?

Yes it's unreasonable. Nominate him for Probation. He was already on my Do Not Deal With list because of previous sketchy behavior.

His explanation is open and shut PL. Post it now so that everyone can be informed.

If the general consensus is this, then I will be nominating him.

Anyone on the PL must have an option to make it right, to either complete the transaction or in some other sense make the other party whole. What do you want the seller to do given the books are already sold to someone else?

An action like this, if true, warrants a spot on the PL. But how is the seller supposed to be made whole? If I remember correctly, this happened before, and the seller ponied up some cash to the buyer to get out of it. That solution doesn't exactly sit right with me, but what are some other options?

  3. I'm also trying to figure out if anything I posted was taken out of context.

My :eyeroll: was just a friendly :kidaround: to Sean's response. I wasn't trying to be an with my response.

    You are good people, Justin.

Mmmm hes okay I suppose. :D Personally, I appreciate the effort that Justin and POV (along with others) put into keeping the list updated and linked. There are so many bad apples out there it is hard to remember them all, especially with name changes and new IDs.

That's why, IMO, name changes should stop. Only in a very few circumstances are they warranted and should be allowed. I find myself identifying people by their avatars, not by their screen names. Very confusing, and for what purpose, I ask?

    Buyers beware

Seller sold me restored books in the past and would not take any responsibility. No returns and prior history are red flags.

    Just an FYI

Remind me again why stuff like this is not PL worthy?

That would be my question also. Maybe nobody nominated him yet?

  5. Nice games (and foot)!

FF II (IV) -- very awesome.

    Earthbound?

No Earthbound (yet). That thing is pricey complete in box!

Never played it as a kid, but I have heard it is awesome.

I missed Earthbound, too. My friend got me into RPGs with FF III (VI) and then I went back and played II (IV). Played Mystic Quest, but somehow missed Earthbound. :P

Been trying to find a good (i.e. not on the computer) way to play it since then. Will have to see how easy/difficult it is to setup on the Wii.

I noticed that Chrono Trigger is conspicuously missing from your list. If you've missed that, you should play that before Earthbound, it is one of the best RPG's ever and the best SNES RPG.

I have a copy (it's in the pics somewhere) and it is indeed a great game.

Chrono Trigger was the one with the dog sidekick, wasn't it?

  6. Being into comics, I remember playing a cheesey Nintendo Superman game for NES. Not the Death and Return one, the one before. I remember him spinning around to go subterranean. Good times. I also remember getting Metriod for NES and thought what a great game that was with all of the hidden rooms with the awesome weapons.

The game that really blew me away was FF1. I couldn't figure out how to play the damn thing for about a day and then it clicked. It was groundbreaking for me. :cloud9:

  7. I thought forum rules for seller here is 30 days after pay. If it is an Ebay transaction, why bring it here? You don't like the slow shipping or method of Free shipping, then deal with it through Ebay? If any problems with the package or Post Office then grade/leave feedback for the seller accordingly when you receive the book, not happy then return. 'Things happen that caused delay" that given out by many people here when a buyer complained about delay of shipping from sellers at the forum and got blasted for being unreasonable. For the nominee of this case, not worth the time, not like he switched books or doing other crazy things.

    You should read Rule 1D:

A Transaction between board members is not confined to the CGC Message Boards. Any transaction between forum members, regardless of the venue, is eligible for inclusion in the PL.
