  1. this issue has a story called comics versus crime, a classic according to overstreet
  2. Famous Funnies number one, missing cover and first two wraps, even in this conditon thrilled to have this part of comic book history.
  3. This sunday I was at the LA Vintage Paperback and Pulp show, had a fun time just a couple of the books I pick up. The first issue of Complete Detective I had for a while but had to show it with the nice August copy, Red Circle Goodness.
  4. Here's a Jack Kamen page from Weird Fantasy 16(4), Page 5 of the story Second Childhood. This is my most recent pick up I have a few other pages picked up over the years.
  5. Fat and Slat 4 is the toughest one in the run to find.
  6. For issue 18 I made sure the dots were not connected!
  7. I have up to issue 30 then all the ones I bought in the 70's.

I actually needed a number of issues, I had 1-14 for quite a while Jamie at Southern Cal Comics had got in a Mad collection including all the Mad comics so I bought the ones I needed to get up to issue 23. These issues are easy to get so I hadn't been in a rush to pick them up. Was fun to see them all together though.

  10. I agree this is a fun one day show. It was fun to meet some out of town boardies, Junkdrawer has good taste in books, nice pick ups. I was happy with my selection also most came from those two boxes from Brad's booth. Here's two of them:
