  1. Lineco archival corners are perfectly safe for securing art to a board (ideally archival as well). I’ve used them for all my art, top framers use them and Heritage for displaying art at conventions. No worries on Lineco.
  2. Wonderful piece, probably a fan recreation but it's not the original cover art which sold at Heritage in 2007. The original painting would be valued $120k+ today. Authentic Wally Wood signature attached for reference, hard to verify w/o provenance. Thanks for sharing...hope this helps. HA 2007 - Wood OPG #9 Cover Art $22,705
  3. Congrats Jason. Truly amazing pieces of quality 90s art delivered hefty proceeds that I know are going to important needs. I thought my proxy bid for the Kelley Jones would win it but foiled by a cut bid. Jim Lee Punisher pieces are blazing hot, esp those with Wolverine.
  4. Early Frank Brunner Dr. Strange cover with Dr. Strange battling his arch-enemy Baron Mordo and, in his first appearance, Sise-neg (Genesis spelled backwards) a time-traveling sorcerer from the 31st century. A superb example of Brunner's incredibly detailed line work, intricate feathering and cross-hatch shading. Link
  5. Mighty Thor #329 cover (1983), a classic image of the God of Thunder with his power in full display. Ed Hannigan pencils with Klaus Janson inks. Link
  6. Thrilled to get Dave McKean’s painted cover to Miracleman #20 (1991), a massive 20" x 32" mixed-media composition framed in gold with a cherubs theme— perfect for Neil Gaiman’s “The Golden Age” storyline. Link
  7. Gorgeous end splash from Aquaman #5 (1989) by Curt Swan and Keith Giffen Link
  8. Iconic Bettie Page by Dave Stevens...published as the cover to Movie Star News (1990) and the Girl of my Dreams statue (2010), wall poster and a commemorative pin by Dark Horse Comics. Twice-up beauty! Dave Stevens Bettie
  9. Presented on ComicArtLive last night, I'm pleased to share a video of the NJ ArtCon including a conversation with owner/organizer Joe Veteri, several shots of dealer walls and shout-outs with a few collectors. Note that the dealer table labeled Jim Warden in actually belongs to Jason Schachter. Enjoy! NJ ArtCon 2021
  10. Looks awesome Jason! Shows you can mix and match frame styles and make it work. So meticulous even to arrange around your monitor and lamp for max visibility
  11. Batman DPS from Tim Sale's first published Batman story...introduced his unique style a few years before Long Halloween: LOTDK #33 DPS
  12. I keep thinking that say 10 years from now all these NFT buyers will deeply regret having what is analogous to Dutch tulips…nice to look at but miserable investments. In 2031, no barriers to entry as anyone can crank out NFTs but the hundreds for free on their AI-enabled iPhone24s. Just saying.
  13. Why stop with walls? My gallery room has art on four walls, the door and ceiling...an oasis of OA!
  14. Here's a stunning and technically brilliant Kabuki splash by David Mack. Amazing composition as Ukiko's kimono blends harmoniously with a mountain landscape beneath a dramatic full moon. One of the best examples from this award-winning series and acclaimed writer/artist. Link
  15. Micronauts #35 cover by Bob Layton from the special double-sized issue (and pink cover) that told the origin of the Microverse and its fabled heroes. Jam packed with Micronauts and molecular "Inner Space" thingies. Link
  16. Very proud to post Marvel’s Greatest #35 cover (1972), the first reprinting of Fantastic Four #48 with the origin and 1st app of the Silver Surfer! John Buscema's cover with sweet Joe Sinnott inks perfectly captures Kirby's classic story. Lik
  17. Hey folks! Dan Pottick and I enjoyed a private viewing of the Society's new OA Gallery Exhibit (now open through Oct 23rd) and thought to share our video here on the Boards. The video tour shows 120+ OA pieces on two gallery floors, a chat with the Collections Manager and commentary on a few select pieces which caught our eye. All of the pieces are consigned by hobby collectors/dealers and are priced for sale-- note: the Society had only posted prices on ~30% of the pieces as of Wed but should be completed by next week. Anyway, any inquiries should be directed to curator Rob Pistella at (804) 363-1365. Enjoy! Link to YouTube video: Video Tour
  18. “Quad-page” poster art drawn by Ron Frenz to promote the Superman Red/Superman Blue one-shot (Feb 1998) with combined 22" x 34" image (huge!). Displayed in comic shops across the country. If you like Big Art and cannot lie, here’s to you! Link
  19. Weird Science Fantasy 29 cover by Frazetta (owned by Halperin) is Top 10 worthy and, in my book, more desirable than Action 15 and HOS 92.
  20. Marvel Legacy #1 (2017) cover by Ed McGuinness-- a hero-packed homage to Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975). Link
  21. Marvel Legacy #1 To launch the Marvel Legacy title, Ed McGuinness drew this hero-packed homage to Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975). This time, the "OG" heroes are busting through the cover while the newer versions watch from the background. Definitely a "Most Interesting" modern cover that I couldn’t resist!
  22. For reference, the Kane GL splash sold twice at Heritage. Sold in 2014 for $4481 and again in 2019 for $3600. Solid return for Bechara (smart to emphasize value vs. 2014) and a great pick-up by Nick.
  23. Phoenix Resurrection #1 cover (2017). Art Adams pays homage to Cockrum’s classic X-Men #101 and fittingly marked the return of Jean Grey to the Marvel Universe. Massive 24 x 18 size Link
  24. Today (July 1) is Canada Day mates! Here’s the vintage 1992 poster art from Alpha Flight-- Marvel’s super-team of Canadian mutants-- pencilled and inked by Pat Broderick. Quite popular poster also reprinted for Marvel ads in various comics and magazines. Oh Canada! Link
