  1. Oh yeh. I spy with my little eye wide angle single camera fight scenes without cuts every second. The John Wick filming and editing style is hopefully establishing its way through the action genre.
  2. While it missed the mark bigly even with two mini-series attempts, how can we forget The Stand. King's longest written work.
  3. wow. who didn't see THAT coming. And what's with the all caps for EMPHASIS on the boards lately? So ANNOYING
  4. Ah, the Swiss. Known worldwide for their wry sense of humor!
  5. Excessive alcohol consumption as a covid treatment protocol This is a thing. Facts!

  8. rewatched this 2018 cyberpunk action gem again, been years - available on a number of platforms 9.8/10 - Death Wish meets 6M$ Man meets Altered Carbon - brilliantly written and directed by Leigh Whannell (Saw, Insidious, Invisible Man) 5M budget reportedly - just goes to show - it aint us, its really them
  9. No, its always been cgc certified or raw. It's the first rule of the sales forum. Do you mean it was a cracked out that is to say former Voldy disclosed as such for informational purposes? Or still slabbed up like the OP's?
  10. Nice one Ron! Hoping for the 8.0, but not shocked I would imagine. I do wonder how you valued it though. I'd be way nervous till I got it back! I'm also wondering if this means you're going to market in 2024? This grade hasn't moved publicly, it would be quite the thing.
  11. I tried to google that cracking video on youtube btw and just couldnt. I know it lives on the boards somewhere but good luck with that
  12. I would take a different view. To a person who had trouble with the causal relationship of actions and consequences, a reminder of where that dark path leads is a good moral guardrail. For himself, and as an example to others. But our system does allow for "redemption", it isn't absolute. A vote can be taken to reverse the decision. But if he's interested in selling, which is what it pertains to, then Chip should ask for it himself and convince us of the rightness of that.
  13. If the provenance is maintained and the owner can be trusted, then sure the seller can claim the grade if the label travels with the book. It attests to a grade delivered by CGC, not the seller, and a lack of restoration and conservation. Again trust is all - trust that nothing whatsoever has happened to affect the grade. As a matter of fact, a cracked book can oftentimes get a premium IF the buyer intends to hold the book in the personal collection. You've got the 3rd party assurance particularly around resto plus an ability to fully enjoy the book. Hey, it takes a certain amount of skill to crack a book, many are not comfortable drawing a blade down the inner well 1/8" from the sides. Richard does videos on how to do it correctly.
  14. I'm with you and Bosco "All Movies" thread under General Discussion make it so #1! And if you could keep Roy out that would be awesome But hey I'm kidding!! Or...am I
  15. Yeh, reminds me of an old joke. A Scientist, a Lawyer, and a Philosopher walk into a thread ..
  16. My personal experience, GA, small sample set - none at all HA romance auction end Oct had me look up 65 Atlas slabs, maybe 60 of them recent GA early SA admissions within the last 3 months - none at all A simple question that could be answered beyond asking here - requires some work though - find a recent submit, HA links to cert lookup is probably the easiest way, and then run through the whole cert by incrementing the cert # until you reach an end to that cert. rinse and repeat. If you've got 2 hours or so you're willing to put in, you'll prob get some sort of vague answer you can run with
