Again, where does the time go? I feel like I just made the 2023 thread and yet another year is in the books and a new one ahead of us.
It was another good year for this group. The art was outstanding, the character selection diverse, and the ideas creative. Again, I am honored to be a part of this group, fellow collectors appreciative of ALL art in all of its many iterations, colors and strokes.
So, we forge ahead to 2024! I hope this thread continues to provide fellowship, find new collectors, and provide a place to display your art. Big, small, simple, complex, weird....all are welcome!
Without further ado.......

It's definitely a gamble. I've had stuff get damaged from grading/reholders, but not pressing (yet).
I recently sent in a yellow label 9.6 for pressing and got back a qualified 9.4. The qualification was a mistake on the part of CGC but grader notes indicated a fingerprint/crease that was NOT indicated on the grader notes on the 9.6. While this certainly could have been missed on initial grading I am more inclined to believe that the book was damaged by CGC during pressing. I am now getting a 9.4

It was purchased at the height of Frank Miller mania (before he was making regular appearances). I knew I wanted it inked and had an opportunity to have it done by the Miller’s inker the great Klaus Janson. Was just as impressed then as I am now……

Mary Jane's first official face reveal was a cameo appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #42 (November 1966). Designed and drawn by John Romita Sr., her entrance is regarded as one of the most iconic introductions in comic history, owing it to its build-up, her hyper-vibrant red hair and beauty, and her introductory line, "Face it, Tiger... you just hit the jackpot!". This was just sheer luck that this piece fell into my hands at a more than fair price…….

My submission for Wolverine Wednesday and it’s a doozy!
When artists ask me what I want when it comes to Wolverine commissions my general reply is whatever you want to do just make him SAVAGE! I would say artists have answered the call but Steve McNiven has created a whole new level. I was floored when I saw the finished pic and still have not picked my jaw from the floor……

Big thank you to @Triston Pence for this sketch. Not often you get a sketch from the director of the movie and pairs well with my CA signed Miller cowl…..even though was not a fan of the movie, the cowl is sick!!

You win the entire thread. Nothing can compare. So this was signed as blank and she highlighted around the sigs in purple? Risky, but it looks absolutely incredible. Please DM if you are ever looking to sell
