  1. Great books! Happy to see the Ash.....still jealous of that Camren piece.
  2. Price reduced to $250 or best offer
  3. Just one book for now. Totally Awesome Hulk Defenders variant CGC SS 9.8 signed by Jessica Henwick "The Wing" from Netflix Iron Fist and Game of Thrones. Tough cover to find in high grade. I went through about 15-20 copies to find three 9.8 candidates. I am asking $250 or best offer Usual rules, no one from the naughty list. PayPal only. Shipping is free with the US. International buyer pays shipping No returns.
  4. Ash continues to impress. I commissioned this piece for WW Chicago for Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. Some of you will note that this was done on a Darth Vader Blank and ask why....paper quality. Ash started this piece on an Avengers Assemble blank which you will see below. You will note the evident paint strokes. Ash did not like it and knew it could be better and suggested a blank he had liked working on before. As you can see from the first photo, he knows what he is talking about and cares about how the piece turns out i can't say enough about his work.
  5. Red Sonja #2 (vol. 4) cover B CGC 9.8 s/s J. Scott Campbell - $100 **Two (2) cps available I'll take the other copy
  6. Killer cover and killer signatures. Thanks to Doug Peters for this one
  7. Snagged this one off eBay. Was floored to see one of her pieces for sale and at a stellar price.
  8. Snagged this one off eBay, was floored to see one of her pieces for sale. I think a rare pick up at a stellar price.
  9. This is the CGC boards and those frequenting it are most often only concerned about CGC witnessed items. I think we can all agree that any number of celebrity signed items can be purchased for a lesser amount from any number of sources and that is not up for debate and should not be discussed in this thread as it it not relevant to the original topic. In the CGC and more specifically the CGC SS community there will always be a premium on witnessed encapsulated items. I can speak with some confidence as I own the Affleck and Leo pictured. Do I wish they were better....sure but the question should be do any better exist that have been CGC witnessed? To my knowledge there are not and really on these boards those are the only signatures we are concerned about NOT ones that can be purchased from other sources. Look, we all have our limits and what is crazy to some is common place for others and calling one nuts is I think over critical. For example, I think paying 4-5,000 for a Jim Lee Sketch is crazy but Kwan sold all his Jim Lee Sketch covers for that price within days of him posting them and they are equally as rare as any celebrity signature. Just because I would not pay that much does not mean those that did are nuts. I ask that we remember we are on the CGC boards and direct our discussion towards that end.
  10. it is what it is more often than not. I am extremely happy I paid significantly less than what they sold for at SDCC. I struck when the iron was not hot so to speak. Its the same with 1:1000 variants. Venom #6 when released was soaring in the 4-8K range but now that the hype is gone and worse McFarlane will not sign the book you can get them in the 1K-1500 range, still expensive but no where near previously stated. Patience is key but that means sometimes you lose out, I have many times.
  11. The comic gods were smiling on me and I picked this up several months before SDCC......I know Doug Peters had a buyer at $7,000 and Torrey sold one for $5,000 at SDCC....I did not pay near that much for this book nor would I pay that much for his signature....that's crazy in my opinion. ......and yes, its on Ash's docket of covers he will be doing. We have already mocked this cover up. Challenging to work around the signature placement but he has some cool ideas.
  12. I wish these were different as well but beggars can not be choosers when dealing with what probably was a fast and furious situation.........
  13. Hellboy Winter Special #1 s/s David Harbour (our new Hellboy actor in the upcoming film!) s/s - $325 I'll take it Can you add Mignola?
  14. Major kudos to Doug Peters for this one. Many of you saw his post when this came back. Was in the comic room last night and finally took a quick picture of it. Not only the lone 9.9 but signed by Frank Miller.....killer book
  15. Alamo City books have arrived. Some greats quotes here...... "I have the power" x2 Dolph Lundgren "Truth is a matter of perspective" Dolph My favorite....."Snapping necks and cashing checks, is what I do" Mark Pellegrino......and yes I know this title is loosely based off the TV show of the same name but Pellegrino's Lucifer off Supernatural is better hands down (IMO) Karl Urban. Very few covers exist with his character on the cover. This, to my knowledge, is the only well represented one Dave Bautista on a hard cover to find in 9.8 quality Last up, Karen Gillian on the first apprance of Nebula
  16. Have to thank Somewhereintexas for the book. Not many of these in 9.8 quality. Trust me, I still have about to 8-10 copies in 9.4-9.6 range. Submitted two and got two 9.8. Signed by Val Kilmer
  17. Thank you! Someday I will get Chunk. We talked at length about different layouts/designs. This is a common picture and best represents the actors that were appearing at Alamo City. It also gave me space for autographs.
  18. More Ash Gonzales. Just in from CGC. I can't say enough about this guy. We have another two in the works for WW Chicago. Batman signed by Val Kilmer Punisher signed by Dolph "I must break you" I know its the wrong movie but fitting for the punisher. and last but not least The Goonies signed by Sean Astin, Corey Feldman and Data
  19. SISTERS OF SORROW #1 (SDCC Exclusive) s/s Kurt Sutter - $145 SISTERS OF SORROW #1 (FOC variant/ Exclusive) s/s Kurt Sutter - $145 SISTERS OF SORROW #1 (standard cover) s/s Kurt Sutter - $135 I'll take it
