1. My predictions last week are coming true. Captain Marvel #1 Hughes; and Poison Ivy: COL&D #1 Dodson are having a good start, and it's only Tuesday night! Captain Marvel #1 Hughes Variant Poison Ivy :Circle of Life and Death #1 Dodson Variant
2. It's on my LCS invoice for this week, only 20 copies ordered though. :Sad Panda: So it was allocated, and we should see that Variant drop majorly this week with more hitting the market (except for the shop nearest to me!) :-(
3. you guys need to take basic coding because I don't use a 55" Plasma for a monitor. . Write the link after the = sign before the ]. WRITE SOME COOL DESCRIPTION
4. With all the Silk #3 distraction hype, I think I just secured a NM/M Deadpool vs. X-Force Campbell cover for a fair price below recent eBay sales at least! Still want a Silk #3 but the copies currently for sale BIN have bad ink rub on the cover, and or a really bad corner and still want over $100.00 .
5. Star Wars carries the brand now. Marvel Universe stuff is all profit basically. I am also surprised this thread has had 0 talk of the Deadpool #2 Hip Hop Variant. I am not sure why, 9,000 copies exist, but they are cracking home runs at almost $200 raw. I have yet to see one graded. Back to comics heating up.
6. I have found a few good books from the relaunch. Ulitmates is art and writing, done very well. Yet....lowest ordered book at my lcs. Blue Marvel is such an interesting character, and his 1st appearance with one of the lowest print runs I've seen on a modern Marvel 1st appearance is an awesome story as well. Star-Lord is a sleeper hit, we just got a new Yondu based more off the Roker like Youndu from the movies, and only Star-Lord readers are aware of them ret-coning his origin in this book, and doing a pretty good job of it. Mighty Thor, great book. Guardians of Infinity, yep. Illuminati, you kind of have to feel bad for Titania. Kind of. All-New Wolverine, 10. Extraordinary X-Men, yeah......best X-Book in a really long time. A-Force ongoing looks good after 1 issue, Spider-Man Deadpool is awesome, Cable was fixed in Deadpool/Cable:Split Second, Vision, Doctor Strange, I could keep going o the good ones that are worth reading, but then it might hype them out of my purchase capabilities! lmao I don't get all the hate, besides the 15 spider-books, and the other derivative Gwen Stacy characters what is SO BAD that you have sworn off Marvel? Either you aren't really reading, or are just complaining that Logan is dead, and a woman is now Wolverine? Or Thor is a woman, or Captain America has wings, Hulk is an Asian kid with an eleventy billion IQ, or Galactus is now a life giver.....change would do most of you some good.
7. We might have saw his dad leave him to his mother for safe keeping. This will be all the force awakens 1st comic book appearances.
8. This weeks flavor is J.Scott Campbell's Silk #3. Next weeks is Captain Marvel #1 by Hughes, and Poison Ivy: Circle of Life and Death #1 by Dodson. Both are now at selling $60.00 pre-release.
9. Doesn't look likely in my local area. If you find it under $80, grab it.
10. They are correct from a Comics collecting standpoint, those sig series books are bloated overpriced, by $1-2K. Those books might be nostalgic to have the concepts created by the comics, played out on the cartoon, but their signatures on those books are a little out of place. Their signatures on anything Transformers that isn't the cartoon boxed sets, stills or anything related to G1 cartoons (stuff they worked on) is like say a Marvel Preview #4 Star Lord signed by Chris Pratt. They may be the first portrayal of the characters voices, but they wont be the last. (Cullen's Optimus will always be best though.)
11. SO no Silk #3 for me, was "lost" by the store holding it for me to pick it up. :-/ But, I got a present in my mailbox!
12. Wow IDK if they are worth the price, but likely, a Transformers collectible is worth way more to a fan, than to someone not at all interested in it. I can get Transformers #45 for $3.99, the Apocalypse Comics one is Unobtainium, they just aren't around, but the TF#1's are easily found. How often, and how much for both a Welker and Cullen signature is the missing part of your equation. Nice books none the less, love seeing High Grade AHM #1 Variants, but dang a Sig Series!
13. Pre Heat you say? Warm you ovens for Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death #1 Dodson 1:25 variant
14. IDK, but won't trade it for a Campbell cover though, even if it was a Wolverine #1 Deadpool Campbell. And that's just crazy.....
15. Some are LaMole Comiccon variants with the same artwork. I don't suppose you 1) Have those Silks in hand yet, or 2) want to sell one? LMK k thanx.
16. Who said the market would be flooded? It was said in multiple places that it was not announced in the Previews who the artist was until later and was assumed most retailers did not know this. As I said before, you're trying to buy at the worst time. Sellers love buyers like this. Fair opinion, but I think it is the best time to get it before it becomes too hard to find in high grade. J.Scott Campbell covers have that $ Memory like New Mutants 98 does. Once they start selling for a certain price, they hardly let up. If you think this book in particular will cool off and prices come down, it may take a few years, not the few months if at all. I haven't seen a scramble this hard for a Campbell cover, even more than Renew your Vows #1 1:50!. I usually never have this much trouble finding a book at a decent price, but none of the smaller local shops had enough ordered to even get the 1:25, and the larger stores price gouge because of the eBay pre-sales.
17. Cheapest I can find the Silk #3 Campbell Variant is $69.99 at a local store. So whoever said there will be a flood, and these will be cheaper aren't paying attention to them selling over $100 on eBay and every other place sold out before release date.
18. 100% cover driven Actually, someone on google+ ordered one for $50.00, and when it arrived he almost tore the cover off taking out the book, and shared his self destroyed copy, creating a run up on the book that is slightly genuine, only because 1 copy is now........un-9.8'able.
19. . To prove that's it was planned and not a retcon wouldn't we have to speak to Marvel? That black arm sure looks like Venom so I'm not sure if we can say the 1989 Update issue is a retcon at all. I'm pretty sure the TRUE answer depends on whether or I not I own one or more copies of WEB 18. If so, then it is in absolute certainty the first true app of venom. My LCS sells these regularly for about $20 in high grade, as a Cameo Appearance of Venom, the same shop labels 298 and 299 as cameo's with 300 being first full. I don't think they are wrong at all.
20. It's cool. a visit to the Silver Age forum, and I see someone ecstatic to get a ASM #1 in a 2.0 for balance! It all starts with perception, if you teach people that under 9.8 is the plague, there will be no market for your 9.8 to have an exponentially greater value because everyone will pre-screen! Campbell books sell well graded or not!
21. "Dreaded 9.6" lmao sometimes I wonder WTF I am doing here with my less than 9.8 collection........
22. There is always an RI cover. RE's will usually be found on the inside cover and you can contact IDW to see who (when they do RE's) is participating in them. This seems to be the cover art coming.
