  1. I won a cover. Didn't follow the whole auction. I won the cover pretty early and didn't watch the rest.
  2. I inquired the day (2/11) sallah4life posted. I went through the master list, scoped out the pieces I wanted. Followed instructions, made sure it was available, made clear what i wanted and the price. I was ready to purchase just waiting for confirmation from them. Received an email 2/15 thanking me for the inquiry and that they were inundated with requests, they would process requests in order. That's it, that was the last email. Until today! Pages were confirmed available and ready to purchase! A success story.
  3. Just had my number called. Lucky #20! If I remember correctly the initial list was capped at 20.
  4. That's Tom Christopher's signature.
  5. I've never seen him sign like that but it is most likely Angel Gabriele. He went by Angel Gabriele, Pat Gabriele and sometimes as PD Gabriele. Probably a rough sketch by Denys Cowan because it looks to be more Gabriele than Cowan.
  6. All Ramona Pencil and ink, oversized! What's not to like.
  7. Yup! Sure did. It's been a while since they had a piece I liked, at a price I liked.
  8. Uh No. Rich was representing Harlan's wife at the time. He was offering the art on her behalf.
  9. For the same reason not every collector is on CAF. It's not everyone's cup of tea.
  10. He was at the Colorado Springs Comic Con this past weekend.
  11. That was Jae Lee. Btw, how do you catch up on commissions at SDCC (the biggest, busiest con) when you are taking on new commissions at the show?
  12. I can continue to play this game. Both purchased in 2020... Lobo #7 title splash by Val Semeiks...$382 Young All-Stars: Dan the Dyna Mite, Flying Fox and Iron Munro by artist Steve Lightle, published in the JSA Sourcebook...$482
  13. I can play this game. Purchased in 2020... Black Condor #2 cover $350 Black Condor #12 splash $225
  14. Glen and Bechara have always priced aggressively, this is not new. Pricing will need to be adjusted if they want to continue with the show. The show was about what I expected. Here are my observations. First...I found the comments during the show interesting. Everyone was saying where's this, where's that, referencing DD. They wanted to know who was winning, what were the totals, will there be memes, someone even mentioned cake. It seems like they wanted the exact same show. Why?? The show needs to be different if it's going to succeed. It can't be a carbon copy. Second...it's the exact same audience. Literally, it's the same people participating in DD and DM. DM had 200 viewers yesterday and DD gets around 300 and it's the same 25-20 people chatting in both. Bechara and Glen need to bring in their clientele or expand who they are reaching. Bill has the entirety of CAF to lean on and he only gets 300 viewers watching live. Both shows need to expand and build their audience. Third...and is an extension of the second and is a problem for both shows...it's the same small handful of people buying each show. It's not sustainable. Yes, their are lots of different folks buying, I've bought once, but the majority of art goes to the same people. You hear the same names week after week on multiple pieces. This is not good. That's what I see.
  15. Sean Chen - Rai Mark Moretti - Eternal Warrior Bret Booth - Grifter
  16. You don't. You have 15. The punisher piece is showing framed and unframed.
  17. That I won't say. Each came years apart. One I bought through Heritage, back when I could win things in Heritage, before they set up an office in CA and started charging sales tax. One, I got through a trade with another collector. The other I found on eBay four or five years ago.
  18. I have three of the six. I was the underbidder on the fourth, can't win them all. One I have never seen anywhere. The sixth, I saw one year in San Diego before I started collecting and haven't seen it since.
  19. When I first started getting into comic art, I made a list of the pieces I absolutely had to have. I came up with six. Those are the ones I consider my grails.
  20. I know a collector like that, not Theo. We collect virtually the same thing yet his art is worth 10 times more than mine. I refuse to deal with him anymore.
  21. Being ridiculously overpriced. Hyperbole.
