  1. I finally completed a Certified/Universal run of Gay Comics. Gay Comics #1
  2. This auction is definitely light on the Golden Age, but I'm assuming that's because they're going to start having signature auctions more often.
  3. You are correct. It suddenly became the 2011 version of Batman #1.
  4. Another thing I've noticed is that HA has started putting "Signature Auction quality" books in their weekly auctions. For example, this Sunday there is a CGC Universal 3.0 copy of Archie #1: https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/archie-comics-1-archie-1942-cgc-gd-vg-30-off-white-to-white-pages/a/122007-15078.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 The following week, there is a 9.0 copy of GGA classic Torchy #5: https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/torchy-5-quality-1950-cgc-vf-nm-90-off-white-pages/p/122008-112006.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 And the week after that, the highest graded copy of Batman #1 (9.6, Universal): https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/batman-1-dc-1940-cgc-nm-96-white-pages/p/122009-47006.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  5. Here's the very first appearance of Tessie the Typist back in 1942 from Joker Comics #2. Humor in an Abbott & Costello vein...
  6. I just noticed that Heritage Signature comic auctions have gone from quarterly to bi-monthly.
  7. This thread needs a New arrival and highest graded copy.
  8. I hope this is a work-in-progress because right now, it is horrible.
  9. Have any of you ever received a 6 page Form W-9 from Heritage? I have no idea what this is all about.
  10. We're just going to have to agree to disagree here. The purpose of the label is to provide information about the book in a clean and professional manner. It is not to distract or call attention to the book. In my opinion, bland is good. But, whatever... Just don't use rivets.
  11. If you're going to use a special label for Pedigree, why not stick with what you already have? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. One of my all-time favorite covers.... ever...
  13. At first I laughed... But now I am crying at the reality of this,,,
  14. Hypothetical: I own a Universal 8.0 copy of Boy Comics #17 with white pages. It has never been pressed or cleaned. Someone else owns a Universal 9.0 copy of Boy Comics with white pages (but the book was originally a 4.0 before pressings). Who owns the highest graded book? Which copy would you rather have?
  15. Are you positive that it's not the mylites that are giving off the smell?
  16. So how many times can a 75 year old comic book withstand a pressing and cleaning before it starts to do serious harm to the book?
