  1. Just think of the massive amounts of non-restorative restoration that went into this book.
  2. I am definitely noticing this trend and I do not like it. I've become skeptical of every golden age 9.6 and 9.8 I see these days.
  3. Yeah, I'm the same way. It seems a shame not to collect them all, but without any GGA, I honestly have no interest in issue #1.
  4. This is slightly off-subject... but... Are the turtles really back already for the very next signature auction?? https://comics.ha.com/itm/modern-age-1980-present-/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-1-mirage-studios-1984-cgc-nm-mt-98-white-pages/p/7212-26001.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  5. Flame-Girl? hmmmmmmmm... It's time to do a little research...
  6. It's so rare to see a Bonnett's in decent shape. Is anyone aware of any Bonnett's that have been graded higher than a 7.0?
  7. Any fellow boardies here win the Church copies of Tessie #1 or Tessie #8? If so, mega-congratulations!
  8. Thank you for the link! myslabbedcomics incorrectly indicates that he died in 1966: "This newly (2011) discovered collection consists of approximately 340 comic books collected by Billy Wright 1936(then 9 years old) through 1941. After his death in 1966 the collection remained neatly stacked in a basement closet until discovered by a family member and eventually brought to market by Heritage Auctions. The collection is known for it’s number of key issues including Action #1, Detective Comics #27, Batman #1 and Captain America #2 and many more, totaling 44 of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide's Top 100 comic issues from the Golden Age. "
  9. There are some Billy Wright pedigrees in the Summer auction. It appears that Billy Wright passed away rather young (he was only around 39 years old). Does anyone know the background on Billy and why he died so young?
  10. That's my goal... and I'm getting close. I didn't include issues 3, 4 & 5 in the last group shot because Tessie only appears as a vignette. And then I have issues #28 thru #37 (which are mostly Millie covers)...
  11. Joker Comics #6 thru #27... aka The Evolution of a Typist...
  12. I don't want to stray too far off topic, but several of you have mentioned Newton rings. I know that was a problem last summer (2018) but I thought it was fixed in the fall? Are they back again?
  13. If restoration is removed, wouldn't that make it double restoration?
  14. And I'm not complaining about this, I'm just trying to figure out why so many books would re-appear in the signature auction for the third time within 12 - 16 months.
