  1. Sad to see that Graham’s in the Chicago loop is on the list, hopefully they didn’t lose much inventory.
  2. Why would you be surprised, look at the cities involved. And the twerps in my town were stealing whatever they could, including mannequins. Why wouldn’t they steal comics?
  3. I concur with @ADAMANTIUM, except I bought raw copies of Silver Surfer 3 and 4, so I would add that grading was very accurate
  4. Offered up as I've just acquired me a very nice presenting raw 3.0 copy. And who needs over copies anyway? Certainly not me! Necessities: Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check/money order/Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance. Payment due within 10 business days. Shipping (domestic): Book will ship insured USPS priority. Shipping is included in book price. International Shipping - at cost, minus the domestic shipping cost. Please inquire first for accurate pricing. Returns: No returns on CGC books as you know what you're getting. On the HoS? Don't bother. Probation list? Message me first and we'll talk about your situation, but don't be overly optimistic. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and over 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First wins the book outright, offers always welcome. Onward! As you can see, the most glaring flaw on the book is the foxing on the back cover. Or maybe that's not a flaw. Maybe you're a niche collector who only collects books with foxing. Who am I to judge? The front cover is absolutely beautiful, no obnoxious tears or creases interfering with the action. Recent sales on eBay have been in the high $5s, so lets set the ask at $575 shipped.
  5. Cracking a book for a C&P is one thing. Cracking a book with a known professional grade, manipulating photos of it, intentionally inflating the grade, giving it a phony back story, and declaring it the scarcest, mintiest, unreadiest thing ever is entirely different. The legal system has even assigned a term to such a practice - fraud.
  6. My TOS 39 unfortunately has the bottom edge slightly, and poorly trimmed. In all honesty it looks like some kid just cut a small sliver of it off for no good reason, it wasn’t Dupcak’d or anything.
  7. Nuts to that, you better PAY ME to take that book.
  8. How long til we see polished_gem_comics selling it as a straight off the rack unrestored 7.0?
  9. The guy paid that much for a TriPLOD? Say this much, he was really committed to the scam.
  10. At least there weren't any good books in the package In all seriousness though, I despise FedEx for the most part.
  11. Seems like a very reasonable request from you in my opinion. Especially since you’re not trying to stick him up for any reimbursement on the grading fees, and you stuck to the book sale price only.
  12. For simplicity, I’ll just adopt @RockMyAmadeus’ writings on the subject. You can find some of his past posts in the topic to continue arguing with. And while you’re at it, find him too. Been a minute since I’ve seen anything from him.
  13. By all means, you call a meeting of all the pressers nationwide and get them to sign onto disclosure of each book that they press that is subsequently sent to CGC or one of the other guys. Go get ‘em tiger!
  14. Good call, then CCS can turn off whatever percentage of the comic buying market wants unpressed books, no matter what.
  15. Simple logic is why. Do you really think CCG would want to see one of its components (CGC) impose a criteria on one of its other components (CCS) that, one, would not apply to any other player in the market in which CCS participates, and two, would decimate CCS' business? Makes zero sense.
  16. If CGC were to start tracking which books were pressed by CCS, it would completely destroy CCS' business as everyone would just move on to any one of the quality third party pressers that are out there. The OP can be outraged all he wants over a book that he assumes was pressed, but any tracking proposal is a non-starter.
