  1. Based on _____’s stellar performance yesterday, I wouldn’t be surprised if s/he has “misread GPA” on a number of occasions. Doesn’t seem like there’s an abundance of integrity in that household.

Did anyone else think ______ was a fill in the blank game before realizing it referred to @____?

I forgot about trying to get @kav to take +325 that 1p36 would never show up to address the situation. Looks like I'd have won the bet too.

To my recollection, homeboy shafted @Gsims718 on an eBay purchase because he "misread" GPA. That's the one.
  10. I guess one difference that sticks out is that all those X-characters were largely on the same page. In the first movie for example, you had two mostly united groups -- the X-Men and Magneto's band of merry mutants, each with its own overall goal. Whereas in the movies that have fallen flat, you get a smorgasbord of free agents with competing or divergent agendas. The movie ends up spending more time trying to divvy up screen time to explain the whole fiasco rather than telling a compelling story. But then there's also Guardians, where they just launched right into it and hashed out all the back story as they went along... Meh, we'll see. In conclusion, Robert Pattinson sucks.
  11. So their plan is to intro a whole bunch of as yet cinematically unestablished characters into one film? That didn't go particularly well for Justice League or Amazing Andrewgarfield-Man 2, what's to make us think it will succeed in Twilight: The Batman Saga? Though Singer did it well in X-Men and X2...
  12. But we all have to start somewhere building that trust and understanding, no? Even if its initially from a confrontational position.
  13. Your advice is somewhat conflicting - don’t talk to the significant other about this, and yet your wife knows you’re going to spend a stack or two on books tonight (knowing the source of the money, very important). I keep my wife in the loop on all the significant outlays I make as well, and it’s never caused an issue, so it would seem that communication is key based on our own experiences.
  14. His cash grab didn’t even break the Chicago Sun-Times, much less the internet.
  15. You and me Buzz, thinking alike. These types of eBay situations are actually fun in a weird way when you look back on them.
  16. Screw you man, I’m getting Val Kilmer on my ‘Tec 27!!!
  17. Anyone who wants to buy that book, please also send me $14.99. I won’t send you anything in return, but at least you won’t have to read two pieces of self aggrandizing carp.
  18. Here’s a somewhat similar Star Wars question I’ve been stewing over lately - what bank keeps loaning the bad guys money??? MAYBE after Death Star I ok, the Empire’s credit rating probably didn’t tank completely, and maybe they had insurance on it. But after Death Star II, who in their right mind is going to finance Starkiller Base? Even if the First Order didn’t get saddled with Imperial fiscal liabilities. Well, besides the galaxy far, far away’s equivalent of Prospect Capital, because they’ll do anything to pump up the loan origination kickback to their board. But I like to think the ISE (Intergalactic Stock Exchange) comes down harshly on poorly run BDCs. I think I went off track...
  19. Props to the seller for putting reprint in the title, this is an epic labeling ___k up by CGC.
  20. Was this the same book that windshield guy backed out of?
  21. I'm still disappointed @BITCOINSWAMI never posted that first appearance of Magneto that he allegedly acquired. I think our mocking would have broken the internet.
