  1. Bid retractions are considered "policy violations", yet people like GOODNEWSCOMICS could shill and retract multiple bids per auction at will and without consequence. You'd think it wouldn't take a concerted effort by the boards to snap eBay into action against such a person, but... Boardies assemble!!!
  2. I use these and they're excellent imho: http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-CGC-CRYSTAL-CLEAR-1-6-MIL-RESEALABLE-DISPLAY-BAGS-FREE-SHIP-LIKE-MYLAR-/251309388008?hash=item3a8334f0e8:g:DogAAMXQySpROB1q Work great for old and new cases. BUT don't buy from eBay, I have the manufacturer's website bookmarked at home (much cheaper). I'll post it later today after work, just pm me if I forget.
  3. Can they please stipulate that Jeremy Irons has to shave for the next movie? I enjoyed his work in Ben Affleckman vs. Superman (surprisingly Affleck's as well), but he looked too much like Gary Oldman. Kept making me wonder why Commissioner Gordon was hanging out in the Batcave.
  4. Neither is within the immediate vicinity of McCormick Place (almost nothing is for that matter), but Chicken Basket happens to be on the way home for me.
  5. Definitely Marvel Premiere 50 - first Alice Cooper
  6. Wow dude, just wow. It's hard to believe that there are people out there like mr.richallen4201984 who lead such empty lives that they'll come completely unhinged over not getting an immediate smiley face on their math homework. Here's my view on eBay feedback: - As a buyer: here's your damn money, I'll give you a positive or let you know if there was a problem - As a seller: gimme the damn money, I'll leave you a positive, tell me if there's a problem. Leave a positive or don't, I'll assume no news is good news. I personally will leave positive feedback for everyone (when warranted of course), but if I don't get it in return I really don't care. Whether or not little Timmy tells me he was happy with his Wolverine 41 is inconsequential, my life will continue regardless.
  7. Here we are...born to be kings we're the princes of the universe! Get 'em Queen! I'd definitely make time for a new Highlander movie. I watched the Highlander TV show religiously for quite a while, pretty much up till Adrian Paul's character lost his mind after he accidentally waxed the blonde kid. Then it got too weird, at least for my young mind.
  8. Easy answer. You should hate zack Snyder s justice league more than those two Oh, if only it were that simple... I just really hate seeing my two favorite fictional icons (Wolverine and Roland Deschain) get seized by the Hollyweird excrement blender and spit out as part of some trite nonsense.
  9. Trying to decide which movie to hate more - "Logan", or whatever travesty they're going to release under the "Dark Tower" title. Maybe I'll discuss the matter with Mr. Beam.
  10. $0.02 from my small little corner of the TPB universe (the Wolverine Limited Series): I'm cool with removing them from being competitive in the original book sets. Like Rune said, there's crazy amounts of printings on many of them (the Wolverine LS has 8 or 9 I think). All I'd ask is that there is somewhere on the registry to display them. Not only do I enjoy displaying my books, but I also use the registry as a record repository for insurance purposes (God forbid I ever need to use it for that purpose!). So, non-competitive in the original book sets, their own sets, no biggie. Just somewhere please
  11. Don't you hate it when you lose your job as soon as the auction clock hits zero?
  12. A USPS medium flat rate box would've been free and provided much more room for packing material. Did the guy at least fully insure it?
  13. May I ask who you use just in case I would want something signed? Thanks! You got it, PM sent.
  14. Screwed on wait time, customer service, and overall expenses. Buyer beware indeed. That's why I only deal with facilitators that I know I can trust. Clearing houses like Desert Wind and Anastasia's DEFINITELY do not make that list.
  15. Well its been two days since I politely inquired to Jasper regarding how he was claiming to be the original owner of Uncanny 221 despite the exact same book being sold by another seller a few weeks prior, and...wait for it....no response. Shocking I say!
  16. Short of reporting someone selling organs or their soul, complaining to eBay customer service about shady listings is about as productive as trying to teach a sheet of dry wall to mow your lawn. It's sad how low their standards are.
  17. Oh no doubt the dude is a total handjob, I think I'll venture to call him out on that Uncanny 221. Will post the message exchange once it's complete.
  18. Good catch on the Superboy 68 resale. I guess "original owner" means someone "originally" owned it? However, I would say this -- just because the guy said "high grade" doesn't mean the poor sap who laid out 7 bills should've believed it. It's not exactly uncommon for the eBay community to significantly overinflate the grades on comic books, so you have to be on your guard. And even with the obvious tinting on the Superboy 68 photos, you can see that the book has a shoddy back cover and is maaaaybeee a 4.0 at best. That's an unfortunate lesson learned for the buyer.
  19. 11 And make it sexual Post of the week Gold star This wins the internet, hands down.
  20. That seller has been on "The List" since October 2013. Wasn't there a list/thread before this one that got *poofed*? October 2013. That link doesn't really explain anything, and I'd second the "why is rff7706 on the list?" question. If memory serves I've dealt with him a few times and never had an issue.
  21. It's an important distinction to make - the Old Man Logan comic series is wildly different than what "Logan" is going to portray. First and foremost, OML was actually...what's that word...good. Just don't go reading it expecting a lot of 2016 GMCs and 3 star hotels.
  22. Are you selling tickets? I want to get in on that action. You know it! The local brewery is on board as official refreshment provider too, don't miss out!
  23. Guy is in crisis. Guy sees his buddy. Guy meets (little) girl. Guy takes care of (little) girl. Guy loses (little) girl to heavily armed goons. Guy flips out to retrieve (little) girl from heavily armed goons. Sounds like the same basic premise as The Wolverine, only with hackneyed Mad Max scenery and well maintained SUVs. Maybe it's my severe disdain for modern Marvel showing through, but this looks about as interesting as mowing my lawn. Rambo - epic. Logan - blech.
