  1. All I’d say is don’t start advancing CantinaFlake any money for “legal fees”.
  2. Show of hands - who has called Lebanon PD and been told nothing can be done?
  3. This might be more relevant if Mike was actually in Portland. I doubt Portland PD will be fielding calls for Lebanon, OR.
  4. This could be worse than Rise of Skywalker. Does Neeson have a bookie to pay back or something?
  5. FFS, who do you think does all the investigation prior to any prosecution? Stop watching Law & Order.
  6. @Sauce Dog are you able to share which police department the “theft” was reported to? Because Mike’s victims should make a phone call to report which of their books he had at that time, or are confirmed sold on eBay. While there’s certainly a not zero chance that he just got drunk one night and told the wrong person how much “cool stuff” he has and where to find it, there’s also a very not zero chance that he’s telling the PD that customer books he previously sold on eBay were stolen that night.
  7. You and I have very different definitions of “nothing”. You should be Cantina’s pr rep.
  8. So you’re saying that you believe EVERYONE who has come to this thread and confirmed they received their books back is lying? Including several long time members with seemingly no reason to lie and cover for Mike?
  9. It’s the cigarette burn that gives it that healthy 9.8 glow.
  10. I mean whoever is behind these two February 17th accounts. Could be Mike. Could be the CIA. Could be anyone in between. Let's watch it play out.
  11. Please post photos if and when you do get them back.
  12. So the books you're getting back were pressed and cleaned, but Mike couldn't bother sending them to CGC at any point in the past year and a half? Sorry, I don't buy this at face value.
  13. Marvel has gotten as trite as the Terminator. “We’ll just invent a new timeline to replace the last timeline!” Yawn. But hey, I’m 41 with a growing family, make me money on my books Marvel!
  14. Comics to Astonish will be at C2E2.
  15. If we can’t have Alan Rickman, I think this guy would be a good second choice for Doom.
  16. @Hero Restoration I think we would all love to hear your justification for holding this man’s book HOSTAGE for 14 years, and then returning it in worse shape than you received it. Did the chickens eat your equipment? The ex’s dog ate your hands? Or are you just a conniving predator that took advantage of dozens of people who trusted you? Nah, can’t be that, you’re the victim, right? In light of all that’s been revealed, your reported substance abuse issues actually make a lot of sense as they are probably the only way you can look at yourself in the mirror without falling violently ill. You may have started out with the best of intentions in your business, but whether a court ultimately says it or not, you willfully turned it into a criminal enterprise, and you preyed on a community built largely on trust, and you stole, and you stole, and you stole. I like to think that no person is beyond redemption, and maybe you’ll one day find yours, but on February 13, 2024, you’re an awful human being. There’s no other way I’d put it.
  17. If his eBay account is still active, folks could try to communicate with him through there as well.
  18. Before I start moving stuff to eBay, I'm going to throw out the following $100 shipped deal. In exchange, you receive: - Vengeance of Bane #1 for $50 - Medium Flat Rate priority shipping (an $18ish value) - 25 additional raws (Wolverine 1 slab is excluded) of your choosing to fill the box up. Mix and match from the various lots at your leisure for $1ish each. List doesn't need to be compiled at time of claim. An can be posted, and then the list of specific books can be subsequently provided to me. Price also reduced one more time on the Wolverine slab.
  19. Prices reduced on Vengeance of Bane and the Wolverine v3 1 slab.
  20. He’s a disciple of the max 2.0 grading scale: 2.0 - Good 1.0 - Bad 0.0 - You got some dust in your hand
  21. Not this exact book, but it was this issue. I had obtained a copy of 66 for free a few weeks prior, and when I went comic shopping for the first time, this was the coolest Wolverine cover I could afford with the money in my pocket at the time.
