  1. Avengers: Kree-Skrull War 1 & 2 $4
  2. Good evening everyone! I'm listing this book in the hopes of a raising a few bucks for my outside the hobby associate, Robert, who has hit some tough financial times due to some serious health problems. He really helped me turn the tides on a number of mental demons that I had battled for about two decades and helped me to totally revamp my outlook on life for the positive, so this is the least that I can do to help him out. Necessities: Payment: PayPal or Zelle only on this one. Payment due within 5 business days. Shipping (domestic): Domestic shipping by insured USPS priority is on me. Shipping (international) - Shipping will be at exact cost, minus the US shipping cost. Please inquire first for an accurate quote. Returns: No returns on graded books as you know what you're getting. On the HoS? Probation list? Or we have some other beef (on my ignore list, bad con interaction, etc.)? Don't bother. In a departure from my normal practice, this sale is open to anyone. If you're on a list and decide to buy, please don't make me regret that decision. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and over 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First posted in the thread wins the book outright (so don't PM it to me, a thread take it wins out regardless of time stamp). Price is firm on this one. I originally bought this book in the fundraiser for djpinkpanther, and I want to pay the good vibes forward. Listed here at the same price I paid. Met my goal with some outside sales.
  3. Marvel Comics Presents 117-122, Venom/Wolverine storyline. Didn't realize how popular these had gotten until I checked eBay. Happy to grade any or all of them if asked. Front covers all looked great upon cursory review. [removed]
  4. FF 347 - 349. Exciting new fill-in team steps in. Ungraded, all readers, notes as follows: - 347: Very Good/Fine. Book has numerous small spine tics on the front and back covers, as well as several non-color breaking bends on both covers - 348: Fine, though I believe with the potential to press up substantially (possibly to 9.0?). The book has a few color breaking spine tics, mostly on the back cover, as well as a number of non-color breaking bends, also mostly on the back cover. - 349: Very Good/Fine. Book has numerous small spine tics, and a substantial non-color breaking crease on the lower right quadrant that runs throughout the book. This would also likely press out if so desired. $12
  5. Gambit duo -- Uncanny X-Men 266 and 267, 1st and 2nd appearances in the monthly series. - I rate 266 as a 5.0 (with white pages) due to a few ripples that run top to bottom through both the front and back covers (might press out though). Back cover certainly looks worse than the front. In response to a question received, I definitely do not think these ripples are water related judging from the feel of the book (there's also no water staining to indicate moisture damage). It's more like a "crunch" to the two covers, like the book was stored funny and for long enough that the bends were able to stick around. You can also see it's effects on some of the interior pages, though they don't sport the same crunch look, just some mild bends. - I rate 267 as a 9.2. $old
  6. Marvel Comics Presents 72, iconic Weapon X story begins. 9.0. $12 (sold)
  7. Vengeance of Bane, 1st print. I peg this at a 9.4/9.6, as it currently stands - 2 spine tics on the front cover (1 color breaking), 1 on the back cover, and the reading crease is a bit more pronounced than you'd typically see on this book. I cap it's grade potential at a 9.6. $80
  8. My favorite line of the latest car added to the excuse train is the “believe a crackhead over a businessman” quip. Like this guy is an actual businessman.
  9. Batman 497, Bane break's Batman's back. As is, I have this in the 9.4-9.6 range due to very slight blunting of the spine corners and three small spine tics that are only visible when angled to a light. So with a press...maybe this could make a 9.8? $10 (sold)
  10. @KindaMistyish - turn this over the sheriff’s department immediately as he’s committing new crimes while out on bond.
  11. Wolverine (2010) 1-20, with issue 5.1 also included. Same condition as the Savage Wolverine books. $32
  12. Starting off with a full run of Savage Wolverine, issues 1-23. Standard releases only, no variants included. Books have been bagged and boarded since I've owned them and read once or less. I would not be surprised if there were a few 9.8s lurking in here. $35
  13. Time to tell some books that I haven't looked at in years to... Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check / money order / Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance (which is pretty much immediate with Zelle). Payment due within 5 business days. Shipping (domestic): Shipping for raws (they get heavy quick, especially with how securely I pack them): 1-5 books - $4 (USPS ground), 6-14 books - $9.50 (USPS priority flat rate envelope), 15 and above - $17 (USPS priority flat rate medium box). USPS includes $100 insurance by default. If needed, ping me for a quote on insurance above $100. Shipping (international) - Please inquire first for an accurate quote. Returns: Raw returns accepted if I fail to disclose something or we wildly disagree on grade(s). Please initiate that conversation within 5 business days of receipt, and we can also try to work out an alternate solution. On the HoS? Probation list? Or we have some other beef (on my ignore list, bad con interaction, etc.)? Don't bother. ALL BOOKS INDIVIDUALLY BAGGED AND BOARDED UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED. First posted in the thread wins a book outright (so don't PM it to me, a thread take it wins out regardless of time stamp). Offers always welcome.
  14. Alright, Dopey Challenge results are in! Let's see how it all shook out, using part of my page 4 post: (I will post much more detail about the whole experience in my journal, hopefully sometime in the next few days.) Original goal times 5k – 37:30 10k – 1:15:00 Half – 2:30:00 (Scratched on account of Disney shortening the course to 7.1 miles) Full – 5:00:00 (as I noted in my journal, I'll use my unofficial time to eliminate recreation stops. Strava has my unofficial time at 5:35:04) Total allotted moving time that I've given myself is 9 hours, 22 minutes, and 30 seconds 6 hours, 52 minutes, 30 seconds (half marathon removed). Here again is my original pledge, all proceeds to Jimbo, a friend of Jesus . - $2 per mile, which I’ll round up to a total of $100 when all miles are completed. (even with the 1/2er cut short, still $100. We calculated that we walked between 2-3 miles to and from the car per day. Add park time on top of that, and we covered much more than 48.6 miles in 4 days) - $50 per time goal met ($100, 2 of 4 original goals met) - $100 if I come in under my total allotted moving time ($50. Though I didn't beat my allotted time, I'm still adding $50 more because of how well the marathon went - good mood, no injuries, no cramps, and I still set a race day pr for the half marathon) Ultimately I didn't hit the $400 max, but that's $250 to @jimjum12 as soon as possible. @Beige - The modified official distance comes out to 42.6 miles, so take that into account however you'd like when settling up.
  15. Did he really have something to contribute though? From the comments I’ve seen from folks who actually bought from him, it seemed like transacting with Eric Cartman.
  16. Hi everyone, unfortunately I have some bad news to share about the Dopey Challenge. Due to expected mid-morning storms, the half marathon course has been shortened to only 7 miles. Basically the distance that I just did today. Can’t be mad at anyone, the weather does what it does, but it is disappointing and will leave me with a feeling of having unfinished business (Disney is still awarding the full slate of Dopey medals despite the modification). Honestly, I’m going to sand bag tomorrow and use it as a recoup day for the marathon (clear skies forecast for Sunday). I was looking forward to the half marathon to put Nashville’s ghost to bed, and 7 miles just isn’t a challenge in comparison. I’ll still do the miles, but it might take an hour 45. Ergo, I won’t be setting a modified time goal for tomorrow. I’ll figure out how this affects my bonus clauses after the marathon.
  17. It’s only fair to ask: @writerwill - is tanking your reputation on the boards worth the $5 in question?
  18. Day 2 (10k) is wrapped up. A little slower paced today as we ran together until the Cinderella photo line, where my prettier half broke off. Also did some strategic walking and took a few more park photos. Unofficial time 1:13:45.
  19. Day 1 (5k) is in the books, unofficial time 33:44. Didn’t end up doing any walking, there was enough congestion at certain points to keep my pace nice and comfortable. Feeling fantastic so far
