  1. Thread closes Monday, 8/8 at a completely arbitrary time of my choosing. Necessities first: Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check / money order / Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance. Payment due within 10 business days. Shipping (domestic): Domestic shipping is by insured USPS priority and is included in the book price. International Shipping - exact cost, minus the US shipping cost. Please inquire first for an accurate quote. Returns: No returns on CGC books since you know what you're getting. On the HoS? Probation list? Or we have some other beef (on my ignore list, bad con interaction, etc.)? Don't bother. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and over 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First posted in the thread wins a book outright (so don't PM it to me, a thread take it wins out regardless of time stamp). One book for sale here - Journey Into Mystery 83, the Golden Record Reprint. Beautiful CGC 9.2 copy with a very well placed Stan Lee signature, and the no longer made Stan Lee custom label to boot. No offers or trades will be considered. $1950 shipped
  2. Seems like anything you read on JC portrays her as a stereotypical do nothing child of rich parents who wants what she wants and she wants it now. She definitely bears significant blame for how her father was exploited. I recently heard an interesting perspective on Stan’s former handler, Max Anderson. As is widely known, Max is a rage driven convicted felon and generally a complete jerk. BUT, the person I was talking with also noted that Max absolutely took care of Stan. His motives weren’t pure by any means (e.g. keeping the good times rolling), but he looked after Stan’s well being like a hawk. Odd to think of Max as the only good guy in this fiasco.
  3. One add for today, and it could be a gem for the right Batman fan -- Batman 475, SS 9.6. 1st Renee Montoya, with a cover featuring everyone's favorite crazy little wooden puppet, Scarface. That's cool and all, but here's the kicker -- book is signed by both Norm Breyfogle and Alan Grant. Both were difficult signatures to pick up on their own while the two were still with us, but you can have both together on this one book. $400 shipped
  4. And it still is. “The Mutants” sounds like a 2 AM feature on SyFy.
  5. But, it’s subpar sequel Escape from LA could DEFINITELY be remade into a better movie.
  6. Magneto will be an interesting case since they're likely going to have to revamp his whole backstory. Unless the --script is going to get its glasnost on, its kind of tough to push a 30-40 something Magneto as a Holocaust survivor in 2022.
  7. If we’re casting Breaking Saul alums, I’d vote Bryan Cranston for Professor X, and Esposito as Nathaniel Essex.
  8. @Patrick Jones - it sucks to hear when anyone goes through an experience like this with CGC, and sadly it seems to be getting more and more common. Unfortunately, based on what I'm hearing from a few friends who do a lot of business with CGC, the response you're most likely to get is something like "Hey, chit happens." CGC is starting to believe that it is too big to fail.
  9. $1500 shipped for all three. Thread closes tonight at a completely arbitrary time of my choosing.
  10. And finally... $325 shipped for X-Men 141
