  1. That is unless you pay CGC to partake in some stupid gimmick, like "invisible" comics, so you can make a quick buck off of the stupid.
  2. X-Men 91 (reprints 43), SS 9.4 with white pages. Signed by Roy Thomas on 6/17/2017. Great Magneto cover. I'd tag BITCOINSWAMI if it was a Magento cover. Ah F it, let's tag him anyway! @BITCOINSWAMI. $450 shipped
  3. I wasn't planning to go to the Stan Lee well one more time, but I'll go to the Stan Lee well one more time since I also own X-Men 35. X-Men 83 (reprints 35), first Spider-Man / X-Men crossover. SS 8.0 with cow pages, signed by Stan on 8/23/2014. $400
  4. Oh, I hear you, they speak to me sometimes. "We can pay off those loans you retained to get the ex out of your life, trust us, it'll be better...." Then I realize it's those pesky MCP readers that are taking up space trying to screw with me. The real prime stuff has convinced me that its part of a well-balanced long term investment portfolio. Or maybe it was a well-balanced breakfast? Either way, we're in it for the longer haul. Maybe these next two will call your name though...
  5. Marvel Tales 99, SS 9.6 with white pages. Reprints ASM 122, death of Willem Dafoe. Signed by original contributors John Romita Sr. and Gerry Conway. $350 shipped
  6. Ghost Rider (1967) #1, SS 4.5 with off-white pages. Signed by Roy Thomas. An SS 5.0, also signed by Roy T, went for almost $550 shipped on eBay at the end of January. I ask of you... $435 shipped
  7. Iron Man and Sub-Mariner 1, 9.0(R) with small amount of slight amateur color touch on the cover. I wish I could tell you where it was, but I'm admittedly a novice when it comes to spotting restoration. $450 shipped
  8. To be fair, the furnace is still holding out, which is pretty necessary in Chicago in February. But its 16 years old and wants me to pony up a grand to fix it. Might as well do it right the first time. And I should've bequeathed this year's tax debt to my ex-wife in the divorce. Next time. Hey, wait a minute...no, let's not do that again. Necessities first: Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check / money order / Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance. Payment generally due within 10 business days. However, time payments are an option on purchases $750+. PM me in advance to discuss though. Shipping (domestic): Book(s) will be shipped via insured USPS priority mail. Domestic shipping is included in the listed price. International Shipping - exact cost, minus the US shipping cost. Please inquire first for an accurate quote. Returns: No returns on CGC books as you know what you're getting. For raws, if we wildly disagree on the grade or you spot a flaw that I failed to disclose, we'll use up to the 10 days that follow from receipt of the book to have a dialogue on the matter in order to find a mutually acceptable compromise, including a return. On the HoS? Probation list? Or I simply don't like you (aka on my ignore list)? Don't bother. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and over 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First posted in the thread wins a book outright (so don't PM it to me, a thread take it wins out regardless of time stamp), well reasoned offers always considered.
  9. Based upon what? To me, this is the equivalent of saying VHS is going to make a serious come back.
  10. Almost 3 years later, and this comment has renewed relevance in the face of the great invisibility scam of 2021. @kav - a victory lap is in order.
  11. Not to distract from the great invisibility scam of 2021, but this had me thinking - am I the only who is a bit bothered by the green or blue menu options for books that normally in the past would get a GLOD by default (like when an incomplete book is graded, you can now press 1 for a 6.0Q, or press 2 for a 0.5 blue)? How about the NG Page 1 only of ASM #1 that I own? Shouldn't I be able to request a 0.5 INCOMPLETE instead (with witty "Cover and most of book missing" subtext on the label)? Standards should be standards, no?
  12. "Hi, my name is Tim Daniels, and I'm calling about your car warranty and to see if you're interested in selling your comics books today." I knew something was up with my spam calls lately... (On a side note - Tim Daniels is usually the computer voice's name, but a very polite live operator from a call center in India identified himself as Tim Daniels yesterday. I asked how Tim went from being a computer to a real boy, and homeboy hung up on me. Guess I'll never know. )
  13. Sold my ASM 53 to Dan, and it could not have gone better! Buy/Sell/Trade with confidence
