Gonna be more, look at the current ha 2.5, already at all time high
The 2.5 presents really well, and white pages too...but the tape & writing are unfortunate. The 3.0 on deck presents well too, but again...tape. I'm no longer in the market for one, but I encountered these two flaws very frequently in the lower grades...seemingly more so than most books in that grade range. Both defects being hard stops for me made it a challenge... YMMD

Either way, I think comparing the # of slabbed copies between these two is irrelevant...especially considering they're in the same ballpark.

Possibly. Personally I think the use and emphasis on that word, with the whole scenario surrounding it...is too much to be a coincidence. But who knows...time will tell...

I love the internal sigs, and think you've hit the sweet spot with grade too...nice book! I'm a little jealous...I was trying to do the exact same thing you did last year (upgrade my 8.0 for a 9.0ish with internal sigs), but wasn't successful...

Not too surprising on the 4.0, the comiclink ff 1 cgc 8.0 is already at a record price
Well presenting lower grade copies are really tough to come by...in my experience. That, combined with the recent news, is really driving the price up on the good looking low grade copies...

This is all it takes to get me excited...is that sad?

Ugh, I try to avoid this train of thought...otherwise I'll drive myself crazy. I'm bad about dwelling on the past...

This is a reddit forum that focuses on DECU leaks, and tags all leaks as "unverified" or "verified". Not sure how they verified the content of this poster, but from what I've seen they don't give that tag lightly. If true, low-level aquaman spoilers, read at your own risk:

I was going to post about the strong prices for both FF 1 copies. I wonder if the popularity of the Black Panther movie has any influence on the FF title now with these new sale prices. These new "outliers" with record prices are showing a trend now, that these are copies with strong eye appeal. Looks like more and more people are buying the book and not the grade mentality as opposed to previous years.
I suspect it's the Disney/Fox news. I'm also starting to think the hot 100 list is actually driving, or perhaps amplifying, market trends vs just reporting on them (https://www.sellmycomicbooks.com/hot-comics-fantastic-four-1.html). That could be a stretch, but it's a thought I've pondered...

Last 3.5 sold 3 months ago for $5300. $3k, or 57%, in 3 months is more than a creep, hoping this is an outlier...otherwise my FF1 aspirations are going back on the shelf. I don’t let myself chase gains like this...

Color is a part of the equation because the movie had to be cast in mainly black actors to be true to the African storyline. That is nearly unheard of in Hollywood. Most movies can cast without a single Black, Latino or Asian actor and you rarely hear a peep. Except for that Egyptian movie with Christian Bale that got destroyed in the press and at the box office for shockingly casting zero color for a movie based in Africa. I believe the movie succeeded because it was cast with amazing actors, incredible music, awesome CGI and excellent writing and yes there will be some serious pride from a lot of people who are thrilled to have a Black hero. The first in comics and first black super hero movie. I call that a great combination of factors leading to overwhelming success.
You’re agreeing with me, but in a very round about way...while applying the connotation of a counterpoint. I stated “strictly because the race” which is what some statements are implying. You’re statement, however, was well constructed and had depth. So I appreciate that...

For people still on the fence that FF#52 is not a better bet going forward than #FF 45 and BB#28
The official numbers are in, and 'Black Panther' soared past the latest 'Star Wars' for a historic $242 million opening weekend,
http://www.businessinsider.com/black-panther-box-office-historic-242-million-beats-star-wars-2018-2
The official box office numbers are in and "Black Panther" had the second-best four-day opening weekend of all time with $242 million domestically.
That beats the opening by "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" ($241.5 million).
The official box office numbers are in, and "Black Panther" performed well beyond any industry projections. The final numbers for the Presidents' Day holiday weekend came out Tuesday and the latest Marvel movie took in $242 million over the four days at the domestic box office
How many FF52's do you own?

I consider myself computer literate, and I could never figure this out (not that I devoted a tremendous amount of time looking, but I never saw the icon honestly). I propose a more obvious mechanism...I mean, I went years without an avatar! It's a tragedy...

I'm rooting for this film. If only to give DC some momentum...

Bottom line...they've had a batch of my books for 4.5 months now, with no end in sight. I submitted five books via "value" for a press & grade that CCS received on 10/20, they are through CCS and in "received" status by CGC since 1/11. Pretty annoyed at this point...
