  1. Agree on 2nd print. Only 6K if I recall correctly, and exponentially more 3rd's...don't recall the exact number though.
  2. Ooof, that rust. Still crazy cool though.
  3. Ahhhh perhaps that was it. Good sleuthing....I’ll edit my post.
  4. I wasn’t directly involved and it’s a vague memory...so hopefully I’m not mistaken. Assume it’s nothing unless someone else corroborates.
  5. Block at your own discretion. Here’s the facts on djgr-55: 1) He bought book when I was exiting town. I told him immediately it would be a week before I could ship. I told him I would cancel if he didn’t want to wait, he said he’d wait. 2) 3-4days later my trip got extended by nearly a week so I reached out to him and told him the situation. I said I would throw a freebie in the shipment if he wanted to keep, or I would cancel if he wanted. I’ve apologized several times at this point because I admit, I was the source of the inconvenience...but had tried to make good as best I could... 3) He sends hostile and rude messages, accusing me of running a scam. He requests a refund, in not so kind words. I immediately cancel the order. He persists on harassing me indicating that he hasn’t received the money yet (I can’t control eBay, and he was expecting to see his money in his account seconds after cancellation). I sent screenshot proving I cancelled the order. 4) He sends more insulting messages and then leaves negative feedback. Was I blameless in this instance? Despite it being unintentional, no. Did I do everything to make good? Yes. Would I have left negative feedback if I were in his shoes? No. Would I have acted like a 14yr old if I were in his shoes? No. So, use your own discretion...but after 13yrs I received my first negative feedback on eBay. I’m a little bitter about it...
  6. Thanks to all. I’m at 6.5/7.0 as well. Confirmation received.
  7. Thoughts? I have my opinion but in need of confirmation...thanks.
  8. Full quotations and the blue under the table too (aka good centering in all directions). edit: Nevermind didn’t look close enough, half quotation cutoff but still good...
  9. I’m sensing a lot of pumping going on...I suppose it could just be hype catching on, but all of a sudden TMNT is all the rage on social media platforms. No need to explain the book, I get it...but why now and so fast & furious?
  10. This is incredible. If this were the norm, CGC would get a lot more business from me... I'm officially out of the grading game due to TAT's though...I called it quits! Cold turkey...no patches or gum.
  11. I third @joeypost (CFP) Clear pressing candidate btw...
  12. Not to hi-jac but there was a show in Virginia yesterday. Masks required but I felt uncomfortable...social distancing was not a thing to my surprise, at all. Plus I struck out... I was late (1hr after opening), and from the rumblings...appears there was built up tension on both sides of the transaction (sellers had more inventory than usual, and buyers had more cash than usual...eagerness on both sides). By the time I got there all the deals were done...
  13. No notes? Sheesh... You paid good money for a service, that's just lazy...or perhaps strategic (someone sees an 8.0 presenting as a 9.X, checks notes...nothing there to deter him/her from a resub).
  14. I’m my experience it’s not just Copper/modern. I was getting hammered on gold/silver too. That, coupled with the TAT’s, I also stopped submitting.
  15. It’s my understanding only a handful of these exist in pedigree. I’ve owned higher grade copies, but I like this one most...
  16. Interesting, after all these years I’ve never read the fine print on the back of a slab.
  17. Super Magician's are so undervalued! GLWTS.
  18. So much for a strong finish. The people have spoken, closing it down. Thanks to all who showed interest and especially those who pulled the trigger.
