  1. And when I say "deals" I mean below GPA...not flipper prices though...
  2. Rolling my eyes... I will do business with this guy if presented with the opportunity in the future. This grievance is borderline absurd if you ask me... If true, it’s a misdemeanor. If false, shame on the mob.
  3. FYSA. Got a message today saying it would be available on the 3rd.
  4. Huh, I’m over 3 months on my oldest batch and still in “scheduled for grading”...value tier.
  5. I love the old ads too. We’re so dang sissified these days that you’d never see anyone calling fat “ugly”. I also wonder if this device was targeting an alternative market (any Mad Men fans in the house?)...
  6. So with PCH going bananas it costs a fella big bucks to collect vintage gruesome books. This thread’s purpose is to highlight awesomely disgusting books that are overlooked, and still affordable. I’ll start, with a healthy dash of personal preference...Crime Suspenstories #11. I’ve always loved this cover and it’s still cheap (relatively speaking). It has awesome perspective, and even though it only shows the feet, my mind’s imagination automatically fills in the remainder of the scene. Sometimes less is more... Appalling content too, an anatomy professor murdered his wife, and is taking her corpse to his lab so his students can dissect her later...
  7. Thank you. And to the community, yes please!
  8. Deals can be found at local comic book only conventions...or at least, that’s been my experience. Maybe I’m lucky... The big ones? Forget about it...
  9. Such a great show. Even to this day has me laughing out loud at just a gif...
  10. Took the plunge, largely to pull back the curtain on CL sales. However, it doesn't capture the sale...it just links to the CL auction. Meaning, once CL pulls the data down the data is lost, resulting in only RECENT sales being visible. Looking at a book now, a CL from Feb this year is visible, but a CL record from January this year is not. Others experiencing the same? Is there a way to see these sales? I really neeeeeeeed that data....
  11. I got one, but it was just for select home & garden etc... Yours is fair game for comics?
  12. I’m sure there are plenty of books still in the creep engines. I for one have a hard time keeping all the slab designs straight. Someone made a summary once, with pics and dates...wish I had saved it...
  13. Thanks, saw that...but was hoping to get accounts of what people have experienced first hand. For someone who is eyeing a book/listing, that’s a pretty large date range, especially for something that (I would think) is an automated process.
  14. When are ebucks certs/credits typically released?
  15. Maybe it's a moral stand? Or perhaps it's an attempt to manage their image, and don't want their products associated with "those" products... I think you're over-thinking it with the "the graders can't handle an image that graphic" theory...
  16. I think whatever was going on last year is over my friends...
  17. There's a lot I could say on this topic, but there's one thing in particular I want to express... I think it's ridiculous when a seller takes personal offense to what they perceive as a "low ball" offer.
  18. People have been saying this for years...maybe decades? Wonder if their day will ever come. Think about the “mega” DC’s...
  19. Maybe CVA can add a sticker to their inventory, and double their profits?!
  20. asm129 has been in churn & burn mode for quite some time....
