  1. Either this is a real leak, or an impressive fabrication. Supposedly the 1st & 2nd act, originated from 4chan.
  2. https://www.superherohype.com/tv/438857-report-disney-may-be-planning-a-marvel-what-if-animated-series Disney+ already has big plans for Marvel Studios, including series for LOKI, VISION AND SCARLET WITCH, as well as FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER. But according to a new report, Disney+ is also developing an animated WHAT IF? anthology series. Via Slash Film, Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige will directly oversee the new series, which is inspired by Marvel’s alternate universe title that debuted in 1977. The premise of What If? allowed writers and artists to explore different takes on the heroes. For example, the first issue featured a story where Spider-Man joined the Fantastic Four. Slash Film notes that at least one classic story, WHAT IF LOKI HAD FOUND THE HAMMER OF THOR?, is being adapted. RELATED: Disney+ Loki Series Lands Rick and Morty Writer As Showrunner The report also suggests that actors and actresses from the Marvel Cinematic Universe could reprise their roles for the series. It also notes that each episode will tackle a different story or premise, like the comic that inspired it. Additionally, the series may be based on scenarios inspired by the MCU movies, rather than the comics. Marvel recently made a very big animated commitment to Hulu, including HOWARD THE DUCK and three other series. If WHAT IF? goes forward, it will be the first Marvel animated series on Disney+. 3. Well that was unexpected! Can’t believe namor’s never seen the screen...need that in my life.
  4. Well look what just fell in my lap. No idea if BK will make an appearance on the big screen, or if it will even be Sir Percy over Dane Whitman...but I think we can all agree this is the coolest of the first appearances to own. Scarce (only 33 on census) 1955 Atlas written by Stan Lee with an awesome cover... Beat up but I don’t care.
  5. He's usually a talker too...having a hard time imagining him being the strong silent type. Maybe that's why I'm not feeling him...
  6. This would be an epic twist but...galactus still has to eat, wouldn’t he still go after the most meaty planet(s), relatively speaking? Which after reducing everything by half, would be the same planets that were the prime targets pre-snap.
  7. Appreciate the analysis! I added Swamp Thing 1 to my original post as a bronze example btw... I don't think IH181 is immune to movie buzz...it's just benefited from an endless stream of movies resulting in no "bumps". What's causing the sudden and dramatic increase in price? Folks keep hanging their hat on demand...does legitimate collector demand for multi-thousand dollar comic books really double in the span of a year? Personally, I think it's a combination of a self-fulfilling prophecy (price going up, people buy because of that, which drives the price up even more) + fox/disney acquisition hype.
  8. Auto-reject def. has it's place. I HAVE set it too high before and later-on regretted it after I saw some of the, in retrospect, offers that could have morphed into a deal...
  9. Don't forget you can add a note to your counter/reject...that way, regardless of the specifics, they know there's a reasonable human being on the other end...
  10. Oh I dunno...SC22 feels about right at the moment.... Or are you looking for a bronze book? In that case, Swamp Thing 1's valuations are reasonable, in my opinion. Making me think man...how dare you..
  11. ASM129 is high on my list for overvalued/overpriced too...so that comparison did little for me. I've also seen more pictures online of IH181 hoards than any other book in its realm of value, which leads me to believe this book is being fueled especially heavy by speculation (all books are, but this one more so).
  12. I've practically been begging for one of these, but am now coming off a spending bender...so I'm painfully resisting. Life is cruel...
  13. aagghh, I don't have anything lined up...
  14. The "contingent on research" part implies the results of said research could lead to no deal, or a change in terms...in my opinion.
  15. Bad deal, and the guy on the other end probably knows it...keep that in mind going forward.
  16. All these acronyms are really starting to trip me up...
  17. Well , I only had one open submission with them and I was excited that it finally changed to scheduled for grading (it was due). Now I don't know if that's a legit phase change, or just the "upgrade". We're flying blind now! Before I realized this I thought it was a "meh" upgrade with no real impact one way or the other, now it's a serious downgrade.
  18. Similar to a troll, please don’t feed the race baiters folks. I have 2 people on my block list, and one is a notorious race baiter on the board... I don’t regret it.
  19. Thanks guys, hope you’re right. The handful of creases on the spine do break color unfortunately...black cover is unforgiving. Will report back on results...
