My Kudos Thread: SOLD to Bowenfire Creatures on the Loose #16 Part of the “Picture Frame Era” of Marvel Covers published from November 1971 to December 1972, Creatures on the Loose #16. Gil Kane Cover with first appearance of Gullivar Jones, Warrior of Mars adapted from Edwin L. Arnold plus two reprint stories including the two titled stories, “The Impossible Tunnel” originally from Strange Tales #96 and “The Frightened Man” from Tales to Astonish #33. Written by Roy Thomas, pencilled by Gil Kane, and inked by Bill Everett. This was submitted by me to CGC, but not pressed or cleaned. Might be a candidate for both to try to get to a higher grade. Case: Four posts intact, no significant scratches or blemishes.
  3. Tomfolio.com Look up Wrightson in the menu. They have exemplars of known signature. I've had a lot of Bernie stuff signed through the years and this issue of ST #7 looks legit in my opinion. Paul
  4. 66 years old is way too young. Rest easy Tom.
  5. Some recent upgrades to the registry set. Particularly happy with the Amazing Adventures #36. When I first joined the boards, I sold my copy of AA #36 30 cent variant (CGC 9.2) that I had had for years and regretted it ever since. Not the same copy, but I like this one better. Paul~
  6. Standing back a bit from the screen, I still like Option #1 the best.
  7. Thanks to everyone who responded. I've decided to leave it as is. Just too many issues for a CPR candidate. Anyone want to move a 9.6 Amazing Adventures #11? Paul~
  8. Creatures on the Loose #22 Classic bondage Jim Steranko cover on the first appearance of Thongor! Warrior of Lost Lemuria! Written by George Alec Effinger, pencils by Val Mayerik, and inked by Vince Colleta. Adapted from the original stories by Lin Carter. Case: Older style case with four posts intact, no significant scratches or blemishes, but minor surface scuffing. Label on top is sharp and crisp. No lifting or creasing. All slabs shipped boxed with plenty of packing material (bubblewrap/packing peanuts) to ensure safe arrival. ASKING $60.00
  9. Thanks for thoughts so far. I'll shoot some pictures of the back cover this evening and post them. I'll also shoot close up shots of the front corners as well. BTW, I agree about "lite" versus "light". Paul~
  10. I'm really on the fence on this one. I know a clean won't really help with the fingerprints, but the bends should come out. Was graded in 2001. Grader notes attached. Opinions requested, please. 11. 1973 GTO. Bored and stroked to 468. Sold at auction 2 years ago. My last restoration.
  12. Not sure if this is the right location for this. If not, let me know and I'll take it down. Thanks, Paul~ I have a complete run of raw Back Issue Magazine from 1-100 (all high grade as I bought multiple collections and culled the best issues out). This is the magazine published by TwoMorrows Publishing. Many are out of print at the publisher, (although to be transparent, they do have issues 27-28, 30-32, 37, 39-42, 45-47, 49, 51-55, 57, 59-60, 64-80, 82-87, and 91-98 still available). If there is enough interest, I will post copies. Thanks, Paul~ Here's a picture of one of my favorites from the run. (Not the actual book, just a pull from the 'net).
  13. Oops, You are correct. AA #16, not a picture frame. I'll take it down. Paul~
  14. Recently added some upgrades. I'm happy to have the Creatures on the Loose #15, but I think the Suscha News copy has a slightly better wrap. Paul~

  16. Is this what you are thinking of? I believe Russell does a bit of an autobiography in this volume. Paul~
