  1. Two of the best covers in the entire creatures on the loose run both by Steranko. #21 & #22
  2. Astonishing Tales #21 thru 24 is a great mini-run featuring "IT!" . #21 still has zero CGC 9.8s on the census and only four 9.6s.
  3. And this cover by Rich Buckler on #36 really sent the series out with a bang. Definitely some Steranko influences going on here.
  4. This is a great cover on Astonishing Tales #13. Grabbed my attention right away!
  5. One of my all-time favorite runs. Number 30 signed by Rich buckler and number 33 I have a page of original artwork to go along with a really tough black border. Only one higher in 9.8 on the census. Happy I picked this one up a couple of years ago.
  6. Bob, Thanks again for the June 2020 aggregate report. Again very informative. Looking forward to the Conan picture frames coming up later this year. The big stand out for me was the price that the Astonishing Tales #12 brought for the reasons that you had previously mentioned. Low numbers in grade combined with the black picture frame and the quasi first appearance of Man-Thing in a comic book all point to an under-appreciated key of the bronze age. Not really unexpected considering. Congratulations again on the prices realized. Paul 😎
  7. I definitely remember the Dynamite magazine with Alfred e Neuman on the cover. Went to mycomicshop.com website and they listed all of the dynamite magazines with the contents. Definitely some marvel and DC material. Usually under the title "superhero confidential". Paul 😎
  8. Like you I have some vague memories, but I only read Dynamite and I believe I remember something similar to that too. Hope that helps, Paul~
  9. Bob, Was curious what the length of time from starting the picture frame registry to the last entry before deciding to sell? I'm guessing many years in the making. Thanks, Paul
  10. There is a 9.4 coming up in the next comic link auction (not mine).Paul.
  11. I have a few of these books in my collection. I think they are referred to as "printer's veins" in which the paper slightly overlaps a bit during printing. I have one, Astonishing Tales #28 with multiple veins on both the back and front of the cover. Paul~
  12. OK. Here are the Pedigrees from my Creatures on the Loose set. Paul~
  13. First time seeing this picture. History behind it? Paul
  14. Picked up Swamp Thing #7 CGC 9.4 from Comic-Fan's "For sale thread". Instant communication and got the package out the same day. Arrived alive (double boxed). A winner all around. Paul~
  15. Now that I see a list posted, even if it's from 2005, is anybody actively collecting these? Just curious. Paul
  16. Managed to upgrade my Conan #1 from CGC 9.4 to CGC 9.6. And that finished my Conan registry set for issues #1-24 all in CGC 9.6. Paul~
  17. Added a few more Conan's to my registry set. Thanks to HGC and Mtlevy1. Paul~
  18. Mark responded to my WTB ad. Great communication back and forth. I was able to upgrade a book to help with my Conan registry set. All around good guy. And really appreciated him going the extra mile with the packaging. (Masonite is a winner!). Paul~
