Incredibly disappointed to see that Hamill wasn't signing all 3 days - he's the reason I bought a Friday ticket! What an unpleasant surprise!
Not to mention the poorly handled panel this evening...after he showed up 20-25 minutes late, the moderator went MIA the whole time. People were rudely shouting questions at Mark from the front rows and people were raising their hands...the moderator should have stepped in to indicate the existence of the microphones. Really amateur hour, I couldn't believe that for a paid event. -
Eliza Dushku cancels.
-
Added Danielle Panabaker and Candice Patton
-
Finn Jones and Mike Colter are attending!
Just wanted to applaud this...really bringing con competition to TX. -
Just wanted to inquire again as what the show booth number will be?
-
Urban cancels
-
Thought I'd also ask if the guest list was complete - the "celebrity" guests...?

Tim is only going to sign privately. I've been told it will most likely happen in his hotel room. If it does make sure we have your books by Friday afternoon. I will have a witness in the room with Tim who will be able to help you with cgc paperwork to make sure you get the yellow label.
Got it. Do you have a booth #? And please add me to the group PM.

Tim Curry signing question: If I'm going to be present at the actual convention, and want to ensure my book is CGC certified, what do I need to know?
-
Question - I guess I didn't realize Tim wouldn't actually be signing here, and was looking forward to getting something CGC-certified.
Will the CGC be present at the actual signing?
-
Wow. Could this be related to the loss of Carrie? Is he planning on retiring from cons any time soon?
-
Any idea yet what Hamill's pricing is going to be?
-
Nice, thanks guys! Followup question: if the scenario called for it, would the information (either the quote, name/date, etc.) continue on the line immediately below? It looks like you've both used up all of line 1...so would it continue on line 2, or the back at this stage?

Hi everyone,
For those who have a quote of some sort in addition to a signature on a label, I was just curious as to how it looked...specifically longer ones. Cheers!

Will Hamill be there all 3 days?

Where/how did you get Mr. Chuck P?
-
Will there be any guests, who in addition to have never done a Dallas con before, have never done ANY con before?
-
And because if we are just tossing entertainment guest suggestions out there, I'm going to throw out Thandie Newton, star of HBO's Westworld.

Thought I'd check in here again...

Entertainment:
-Carrie Fisher (b/c she cancelled over the summer)
-Anyone from SNL (Rob Schneider was a highlight for me this past year)

I've seen a few manufacturers that make frames for slabs...however they're for the pre-2016 type of slab.
I was wondering if any make frames for 2016 slabs, and if so, do those frames hold pre-2016 slabs too?
(I was looking at getting a double-frame...but I own 1 2016 and 1 pre-2016 slab :\)

Just got this one in from the CGC - a 9.4 and the sole highest grade for a signature series edition of this one!

Sorry to high jack this thread, does Stan Lee personalize or write Excelsior or does he charge extra for that as well? Lastly, will he sign with something other than sharpie if you give it to him to use on your items?
This wasn't even an option at the cons I've been to. You get a sig and that's it.
Wasn't an option at fan expo a couple years back either. Heck I was rushed along so fast He didn't even have time to raise his head or say hello back to me. It's kinda sad.
Same experience for me, twice, but it's what I expected given the demand. Both times I thanked him for his contributions to literature and he kind of chuckled. It makes me wonder if he sees his work as literary contributions - which I very much do.
Luckily, I was able to get an actual question in at a panel.

Fan Expo Dallas -- March 31-April 2, 2017

Not only was the show oversold, it was clear that exhibitors were over-crammed into the space too. The whole thing was a fire hazard.
I hope next year Fan Expo finds a bigger venue, because KBH Convention Center is no longer viable.
Special shout out to the team at the CGC booth, who are clearly understaffed - thank you for helping me get Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill these past few days.
