  1. Some moderns/coppers that I have sold well here for me lately. Hawkeye - This is a smash hit for Marvel. Hack Slash - Guessing fans are looking at Seeley's other works. Got and sold sets of Hack Slash 1-32 sets. 1st appearance is also picking up steam again although not as strong in slab sales. Walking Dead Weekly - Prices have come down some, but have no issue selling keys and first few issues. DC Presents 47 - No issue selling this book in high grade at all. Demand outstrips supply currenlty.
  2. Got 3 copies left. PM me if you two want to pick them up at cover + shipping. I didnt sell off to be profitable even though I made some money. I sold them off because the book didnt appeal to me. Could be the case for several of them on ebay currently and would be an alternative to speculation. I think you are way off in comparing this book to WD. It doesnt have the same feel, the art is completely different and the storyline is much more complex. (The last part being a good thing.) I am having a hard time comparing this book to anything currently because of how Spencer is writing it. I can see why several of you like it as its not your traditional book by any means. I do hope it flourishes because I think Spencer is very talented. (Loved MG by him.) He might be the new Morrison.
  3. In that type of case just means people are wanting to read the book. I much prefer this case scenario then the other where CGC slabs are selling and the normal copies aren't.
  4. Very difficult to find apparently. Board members been looking for a copy for awhile.
  5. Just love the cover. I mean if you put it in a row of 50 variants. It would catch your eye. I can see why ASM lovers want it.
  6. I see a raw $150 in Oct. Rest are all around $100-150 in Oct.(One awesome $175 in Oct.) Nov Sales are $79 and $102 from what I see raw at auction in Nov. Couple of early 140s in Nov then price comes down. Those are all auctions last few books. No BIN sales in last few weeks. Pain in the rear to filter them all though might have missed a few.
  7. Sold 3 for $10 and 27 for $15 this week. The demand has slowed, but its still there. I sold every copy of 19 I could get ahold of for $20-35 for the last few months. The value wont every go away entirely until the show ends. Every year people want to pick up the books and WD Weekly offers an inexpensive alternative as well as great SS opportunities.
  8. God I hope they dont screw this up. This is almost everyone's favorite Marvel storyline from that era. All be crushed if it sucks.
  9. We are in for quite a ride after reading that. We are in such good hands.
  10. Yeah its been written so bad for so long that nobody cares. You dont see the love for Supes like you do for Batman I will say this though. JMS had written two great HBs of Superman called Earth 1 Vol 1 and 2 I think are brillant.
  11. You can add another 15 to that. Got grades - shipping out via Joey Tuesday. The 6 month rule is in play. Please consider the following - consider,I'm fed up of arguing about this book. 1) The actual print run is RECORDED as 22,000. Spencer can bleat all he likes but thats the actual figure attributed to Bedlam #1 2) Variants - and I'm done going on about King Larry - are 4,000 3) San Diego and NYCC variants were OFFICIALLY stated as 500 each. There are suggestions there were more, but thats the figure quoted by Image so who are we to argue. 4) Even by my math, that leaves an 'official' plain old Bedlam #1 print run of 17,000 5) This book has had sensational reviews on the vast majority of internet review sites. 6) Comparasons to the Joker will not do any harm at all. 7) The potential for a film is enormous. 8) Its a sold out comic book that has been out for 3 weeks.No-one is going to retire on this book. 9) Give it 6 episodes and this will be the hottest non-marvel book of 2013. 10) THEN the secondary market is your friend. This book will be huge - its just so awesomely perverted, and genuinely disturbing that one is compelled to turn the next page. You really have NO idea what is coming next. The other one is Great Pacific - if it can survive a frankly dismal first episode, then the story has enormous upside. I would help if more people actually realised the Great Pacific Refuse Island is real! It's a disgrace, and I can see all sorts of environmentalists, greenies as well as good old comic folk jumping on. I only have a couple of puppies in this race so its no biggie - just reckon it will be a grower. I hope your right for many of the collectors that have invested quite a bit in this book. Currently Ebay isnt reflecting much of the above. Although 3rd eye is still doing well. It just seems too much at the same time between FP, 3rd eye, NYCC variants and the reg issue.
  12. ASM 698 is selling very well currently. Selling thru on every sale I can see so far on ebay. 1st Prints Reg cover selling for $4-10 currently while the variant is all over the place with sellers not knowing what to charge so far sales at $15-50 each. Will be interesting to see if it stays this way. ASM sales are way down, Slott said it was under ordered and they is a huge base that might jump back in.
  13. FORBIDDEN PLANET SHIPPING BOX...... [/img] OUCH. That's why I' m boycotting them a until someone posts better results... someday Yup thats about how mine looked also. Then they stuffed three to four in a sleeve. Man now I'm starting to worry about my shipment......... And it's going to Canada too...... (Double whammy) Mine made it safe a few weeks ago in a cardboard mailer. The odds were against it, but they all made it here NM/NM- or better for all 5 copies. I seriously doubt that if I order the same amount 10 times only 2 or 3 would make it safely. I dont recommend them for international shipping. A shame too, you know how much more business they could have brought in if they pulled off the Bedlam international deliveries well? They had a chance to showcase their store worldwide and looks like their packing has blown it for them.
  14. Check out the lower staple...There is a dent. There's no dent. I'm sure its just the art. I saw that listing. You're better off buying a regular CGC 9.8 TBH. I wouldn't touch it unless you intend on keeping it and NEVER selling. Pic is either cropped or the scanner just cut it off. You cant even see the bottom of the book.
  15. You have single handedly destroyed this thread. Don't worry - I'll get it back on track isnt he just reacting to you telling him to shut up. The thread was running drama free for a long time.... This thread has also been filled with non information about moderns heating up. Clone #1 selling for 6.99 + shipping now. its heating Feel free to list some facts or auctions on this. Currently its at cover price or $1 better for the normal cover + shipping for several auctions just ended. The variant it selling for $4-6 per copy. I agree its starting to sell, but thats about it.
  16. Order the trade from Amazon or buy it from LCS next month. Good way to start and the cover to the trade is simple awesome.
  17. Enjoyable issue liked the snowmobile chase. Still alot of questions. Any thoughts? Please not another person telling me their "Theory" was correct. One person every issue is enough.
  18. Is that Cover the same as the poster I've seen on the boards a while back that someone posted? Think its a 11x17 poster Yep It's a pity that i am unlikely to meet the guys at a con anytime time soon as I would love one of these. Next time one of us is going to show where they are going to be there give a holler in this thread. I can imagine there are several of us that would like a copy of that poster. I think its the best cover I have seen so far and prolly the best one this year.
  19. Would love to have the cover to the TPB as 8x11 or 11x17 I could hang and get signed its awesome.
  20. Image Comics has added five new titles to its “Image Firsts” line, printings of first issues of the independent publisher’s most popular titles that sell for only $1.00. The Image Firsts editions of the phenomenally popular FATALE, SAGA, THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS, THIEF OF THIEVES, and REVIVAL will arrive in stores on December 12. In addition, new printings of the Image Firsts editions of THE WALKING DEAD and CHEW will be in stores on the same day.
  21. This next issue seems to really drag everyone into it including the alien/spirit, the CDC, Tao May and her torturer Blaine among others.
  22. I kind of miss having the book, and CGC seems to assign value to make-ready books, so I might have had something perceived by others as quite valuable. I know how you feel. I have a book ... this (circa 2003, yes i know this is about the 90's, just as an example) And from time to time i have considered trading it .. but i know i would regret it for all eternity ... it's a book i'll never ever ever see again. it's that tough. Last night, I dreamed I held you in my arms How about the story how it was found?
  23. I suspect you will do fine due to the limitations on this variant for some reason. I could only order one thru my subscription service.
