  1. The original location for Empire Comics on Mt. Hope Blvd. in Rochester. It was tiny, but it’s where I bought my first “expensive “ back issue, Richie Rich 1. $50 or so circa ‘76. The store moved to a larger location a mile or so away pretty quickly as it was so successful and I dropped plenty there over the next 20 years. Rochester had plenty of great comic book stores in the 80s on but Empire Comics was the trailblazer. Box graphics are for later locations. https://bleedingcool.com/comics/recent-updates/building-an-empire-from-flea-market-dealer-to-helping-sell-a-1-million-dollar-comic-four-decades-of-empire-comics/
  2. Great book Marty! Did I hear right that copyright protection on you ended this year? Seeing your collection would definitely bring me to Park Ave.
  3. In the self preservation business we call that a fail.
  4. Maybe I’m being too harsh. The Dunlop probably hits a little too close to home.
  5. That elephant has to be happy she’s coming in. This little group of Blue Bolts have shared a bag for decades. My affinity for the title is evidence of how undesirable they are for collectors.
  6. I’ll take all the detectives and the haha please.
  7. Surprised Stan didn’t say Ebenezer Scrooge. The Scarlet Pimpernel reminds me of this guy.
  8. I would definitely accept all of your Archie purchases and forward to you …
  9. Or how about just a mailbox in the states you visit occasionally?
  10. Do what countless other Canucks have done since time immemorial. Move South! I was a little shy of five myself when I did.
  11. How many angels can dance on the head of a pin. Have all you Mr. Wizards factored the growth of streaming into all this box office doom and gloom?
