  1. Do your parents know that safe search is off?
  2. Even I can’t bring myself to pay out the wazoo triple.
  3. Noticed this AMan sold on the bay in December. Looks like an attempted triple bagger flip on the boards.
  4. This wouldn’t be a problem and in any criminal trial the books could come into evidence through a CGC witness who would be able to provide the requisite testimony to enter into evidence. Would need some of the buyers of the fraudulent books to testify. My guess though, depending on prior criminal conduct, this guy would be allowed a felony plea with probation in state court. Sadly the dollar amount is probably not high enough to interest the Feds. Great video and I’m very grateful to Matt Nelson for participating. Funny but what stands out to me in the video is Matt referring to comic collecting three separate times as a hobby. lol, expensive hobby. Congratulations to the fellows who broke this case and I think the award from CGC was a nice touch. What’s done in the dark will sooner or later be brought to the light especially in the world of comic book collecting.
  5. It’s rumored Lee Harvey bought it. He thought the Promise copy went for a steal obviously.
  6. Seems the going rate for a Norem Savage Sword cover is around $20k. Two reasons I wasn’t interested in bidding on today’s were the sail makes the painting seem unfinished to my eye and the ocean is green not blue?
  7. I’d rethink this. Common law fraud occurs when someone makes a material misrepresentation with the intention of inducing reliance and causing financial damages. Hmmm. 🤔 I’d think that unless you disclose that CGC, recognized experts in identifying restoration, has found color touch you’d be committing said fraud. Especially with your affirmative action of removing the “warning” (PLOD) to prospective purchasers. I’m sure all states have similar laws to NYs.
  8. Every dog has its day. This one took a little over 112 years …. Never found one for sale when they might have been affordable. Have been able to salt away a few Bat Woman Weird Tales over the years so I’m happy to see the love with recent auction results.
  9. Can any auction house touch eBay’s current fee structure for a $5000 comic sale? Easy peasy (at least after you sweat out the post office).
  10. Not expecting many new highs today but no “deals” either. The lots I’m following already seem expensive to me. I’ll be interested in seeing the activity on lots after the “book” has maxed.
  11. I thought this guy was trimmed for years before I sent it in.
  12. Did I read correctly that the oligarch sold for triple the allegedly inflated $137,000,000 “lost” davinci?
  13. I’ve never kept DCs and Marvels in the same boxes. Think crossing the streams in Ghostbusters.
