  1. True, but that was quite misdirection Especailly how they treated Finn's character in The Last Jedi, and I dare not even speak of the treatment of Luke's character, or even Han's in the first film ~
  2. His lack of appearance But he was far more critical of The Last Jedi ~ But he was marketed as the main protagonist
  3. JJ Abrams: "John, you’re the new star of Star Wars." Not entitlement mentality, more so given how Kathleen Kennedy butchered the Sequel Trilogy with her in-studio politics. The character of Finn (along with Kelly Marie Tran's Rose) is a prime example of token diversity - under developed, and only used as a side kick or comic relief. The moment they made Finn a janitor - therefore making his backstory a joke, in all respects - the character was ruined beyond repair. Up to that point, the audience just assumed he was a normal stormtrooper - with a variety of hints of Force-sensitivity within both the film and Abrams, Ardnt and Kasdan's screenplay. Maybe a rookie, but still a combat-trained soldier. His character was really the only one that had a unique background: we have never seen a stormtrooper leave the Empire/First Order and either go solo and/or join the rebels while dealing with PTSD. On top of that: the force sensitivity aspect - highly similar to the character of Kyle Katern, I hasten to add. @theCapraAegagrus, Hamill was subtle about it - and on some occasions not so subtle about the characterisation of Skywalker in both TFA and TLJ ~ Also why a big fail from John for making it about race when Kathleen Kennedy has continuously stood by the mantra of: The Force is Female?
  4. I recently bought Static #44 - which was classified as a 8.0 VF by the seller - and when received it I noticed a rather faint line on the front cover, to which a user in the grading section stated that it might very well be a subscription crease ~ I'm curious whether the said comic would benefit from either a press or a clan - maybe even both? Or will it simply always remain at a 8.0 VF? All comments are very much appreciated ^_^ Here are various images of the said crease:
  5. With the announcement that Milestone Comics are set to resume publication in 2021, I thought I'd create this thread for any and many to post their comics and general thoughts: The last issue of Blood Syndicate:
  6. Still surprised there's only one of these on the census:
  7. Hey there - thanks :3 I hadn't thought about a subscription crease - and true be told: I've not heard about that specific type of crease. But - from what I can tell - the crease hasn't damaged the paper or the ink - so would a press remove the said defect, even if it is a subscription crease?
  8. I've always purchased Mylite2's and coupled with them Gold/Silver boards - but I've used these for even Silver, Bronze and Modern comics Is there a possibility of the corners being blunted in this case?
  9. Hey there, I posted a thread on this a few days ago but now that I've obtained the comic I've posted some new images - the seller described this comic as a 8.0 in VF, but I've noticed a fine line on the middle of the cover; it looks like a crease (which can be seen in the 5th and last image across the character's right-leg) Would this comic benefit from a clean and/or a press? All comments are welcomed :3
  10. Hey there ^_^ They sure are, and Icon #1 is a pretty damn good comic too - with a preview of Static ~ But for example, here's an image of the contents of another Milestone polybag feature:
  11. This - among a HUGE amount of Milestone Comics - arrived today
  12. Very interesting those estimated numbers are ~ It'd also be interesting to find out how many copies actually survived, and what's rather amusing is that Static #45 is't even the rarest/lower print-run estimate of the Milestone books ~
  13. Thanks ^_^ I just simply added this in the possibly the graders would possibly update it on the CGC census ^_^
  14. Amazing amazing Amazing summary, and for the most part it looks like DC potentially has a Black Panther-esque property on their hands in terms of richness of history ~ And we know that DC commissioned a prequel to Reeves' The Batman, centered upon the GCPD, for example ~ Awesome! And yeah, I knew Milestone Forever had some pretty low numbers - utterly insane! But - as was discussed previously - I certainly expect Icon #1 to increase quite a bit when people realise that it contains a preview of Static
  15. But still, it should be great to see the price numbers in a few months when people realise that Static is not the only member of Milestone Comics ~
  16. Woah, I see I see I've managed to pick up quite a few of the latter Hardware and Icon books fortunately, and I agree that these prices won't remain so low - more so with the new series in the works for Static, Hardware, Icon etc; the Static film; and even with the Milestone reference to "Bang Babies" in Legends of Tomorrow ~ Hardware #40 8300 Hardware #46 4852 Icon #38 9900 Hardware #41 7700 Hardware #47 4711 Icon #39 9400 Hardware #42 7100 Hardware #48 4511 Icon #40 6715 Hardware #43 7000 Hardware #49 4356 Icon #41 6520 Hardware #44 7500 Hardware #50 4945 Hardware #45 4,953
  17. Curious about the "last issues" remark, is that due to the low print run on the last issues of Milestone comics?
  18. That's exactly why it baffles me that there has been such an increase in #1's - irrespective of whether it was direct, newsstands or platinum) - and not for the low-print running later issues ~
  19. I see, and I thought of much but yeah I forgot about Worlds Collide (VERY VERY underrated)
  20. Still it seems like Superman #4 vol 2, and the Static comics ~
  21. I managed to pick up two Milestone Previews: one Hardware, and the other Heroes. But I'm curious whether anyone has these on the forums and how many exactly were given to retailers as I can't really seem to find a lot of information on these. Although, I know that CGC has encapsulated a few of these in the past, but not sure if they were Milestone specific ~ Milestone Hardware Preview Milestone Heroes Preview
  22. The current layout of Icon #1 (of August 29, 2020): Key Comments: Poly-bag removed. Art Comments: Dwayne McDuffie story, M.D. Bright & Mike Gustovich art, Denys Cowan & Jimmy Palmiotti cover My proposed (updated) layout of Icon #1: Key Comments: "Static" preview. 1st appearance of Icon (Augustus Freeman), Rocket, and S.H.R.E.D. Poly-bag removed. Art Comments: Dwayne McDuffie story, M.D. Bright & Mike Gustovich art, Denys Cowan & Jimmy Palmiotti cover The changes are wholly to do with the key comments and the addition of first appearances, whilst acknowledging the presence of a Static preview - many thanks
  23. Thanks guys :3 I'll do that @revat, and I also managed to get a Milestone's Heroes #1 preview booklet too ~
