This particular copy of Invincible Iron Man #7 is already at $82, which is $37 over its last sale price. It's scarce on the registry, but it's the first appearance of Riri Williams, who Bendis indicates in his latest interview is supposed to be some kind of "karmic balance" for a certain someone's death in Civil War II. Full disclosure: I just happen to like the cover, so I bidded it up but it went too high for my blood for a character who isn't even confirmed to be actually relevant yet. I got 3 sets of the Batman artist edition and 3 sets of the colored (so nine books total), and I would say 50% came back 9.6 and 50% came back 9.8. They were pretty; it's just half of them came back with a color-breaking spine tick.

Yeah, somehow I get the feeling that was meant to curb speculators... hopefully that wasn't the only obstacle and it actually restricted people to 3 per account (or else wouldn't you be able to make 60 orders of 1 comic each?)

It's because the artist edition is sold out. Here's my secret-- as pandahouse mentioned, it's in the search results. Before it went up, I searched "Justice League" up top in the search box, and refreshed that in tandem with the home page. When the product went up, I couldn't see it on the home page, but it came up on the search results page.

I thought Jon Kent's first was in Superman Convergence 2? It is. But this is when he puts on the costume, I think. Yes, cameo as a baby in SC 2 No costume yet, but LC1 is first full appearance of the character "grown" into the age he will be written in Supersons. Most people, including myself, are not a fan of 1st app babies. I'll pass on Son of the Demon baby Damian, test tube X-23, and UXM 201 baby Cable. And yes, the regular Lee Weeks cover is by far the better cover for this book, but you know, 1:25 variant hotness and all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that human does not look like a baby to me. Yes, that human pictured above is not a baby. Maybe not even human. That (maybe) human IS a baby in SC2, with a full head of super-hair... Baby Kent : Cheers! CGC says SC2 is birth of and thus first appearance ... but has first full appearance been put in on LC1? What's LC1 even going to say? "First teenage"?

Agreed. I've been 99% happy with DCBS over the past several years, but a few of my $50+ variants have come back with some defects. Most of the time they're unavoidable, like printing creases (which shouldn't affect the grade anyhow, theoretically), but I had one with some crazy scuffing on the spine that was just terrible. That said ... I still buy from 'em. They're good more often than not, but I agree that $50 is a lot to spend without looking at it. Speaking of 1:50 variants, are we sick and tired of the Harley Quinn holiday variants? The Jim Lee 1:50 BW variant of HQ April Fools is $50 on DCBS ... just took it off my list though looking through the eBay auctions for the Halloween ComicFest (which I know isn't a "real" holiday variant), Valentine's Day, SDCC, etc. etc. I have the same problem with Gwenpool, really, but what with the Deadpool movie selling like hotcakes, I assume she'll be here to stay. Hey, who's to say Emma Stone won't show up as Gwenpool in Deadpool 2?

I definitely thought Hank was going to be evil, being named after the comics' Cyborg Superman, but I guess it turns out that the original Hank was the evil one and this one ... is a good guy. And not just any good guy, but someone I was NOT expecting to see on TV anytime soon! Looks like Supergirl is back in business

Every time you get a 9.4 and below on moderns you should get punched. That X-men 266 CGC 9.0 should make you leave the hobby. I'm sure someone will enjoy the book on eBay.
