  1. I stare at a wall Life as we know it, no more Black Costume Spidey
  2. Borrowing this idea from a fellow member of my fave OA-related group chat. Share haikus about our beloved hobby. Having received my colleague's permission, here's his gem to start us off. Remember, it's 5-7-5 syllables: Haikus are quite fun But sometimes they don't make sense Like Coollines prices
  3. https://www.sellmycomicart.com/comic-art-terms.html Half splash or three quarter splash it is. Good to see this thread still going strong (and staying useful)!
  4. This is a kick-arse thread...
  5. Ahem, if any are available, I am but a "DM" away...* *Extortionate pricing possible depending on the art.
  6. I weep for those lost Elmores, and kick myself for not having been more alert. Pretty sure any of his Chronicles or Legends covers would hit 6 figures easy at auction.
  7. Update: This thread still kickin' for over a year. There's a lot of good art herein, enjoy! Two folders full - https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=219187 https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=194413
  8. P.S. Wow, sports cards in general really have taken a beating. Was concerned I needed to sub a certain card or two fast, but guess I can take my time. Back on subject -- some fun GA offerings. Curious how the Harvey PCH art does. Horror fandom...
  9. OA isn't plunging because it's something all sorts of other collectibles aren't. It's art.
  10. Got my Frazetta oil grail: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1775970 Now trying my best to hibernate...
  11. A bit late posting this here, but... my first Frazetta oil: https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=123916 Mina, heroine of Dracula.
  12. Wouldn't worry about it. Most art is "found" through searches, and it's pretty clear who the current owner is based on dates posted of the (same) art. More recent posts show first/topmost, etc.
  13. Happy to share with friends, affinity groups, etc.; but it's been a long time since I've felt charitable on these here boards. : ) Likewise with Reddit.
  14. My suggestion is to approach folks beyond these boards -- your favorite dealer(s), a Facebook group chat, etc. It's unlikely anyone with a stellar but lesser known go-to recommendation is going to post it here for everyone to see, in the process adding to their own wait times. I know I sure as hell wouldn't. There are too few reliable players to begin with when it comes to restoration. Re: Dennis, there's nothing I can add that won't come across as political, except that his cosplay skills as exhibited on 1/6 leave much to be desired.
  15. Don't even... it was me, all. It's hard to be humble with the weight of the world on one's shoulders.
  16. Actually going to be in Milan on business in early Oct, will drop by for sure + thanks for this!
  17. Morlocks huzzah! White Queen and Phoenix by Harvey Tolibao: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1755250
  18. Well-put, well-put. Would be nice (as a buyer) if a scandal or two could put a serious dent in prices, for once. Alas... In recent years was a huuuge grading scandal in the sports card world involving PSA (the CGC of cards). Barely moved the needle back before more momentum skywards.
  19. You know why, my friend Btw there's a huuuge FB group called EC Fan-Addict Club. Fast approaching 10,000 members, many of whom are active (i.e. well above the OAer count here). Check it out and you'll get your month's fill of EC goodness, and then some! Posted my cover there and it got close to 200 likes and dozens of comments, yowza...
