  1. Finally made it in the club!
  2. Couldn't agree more as the market is an absolute playground of fun for collector's vs the last few years. Definitely time to consider moving a bunch of books that are "replaceable" to try and pick up a book or perhaps two books that were out of reach the last several years.
  3. I'm guessing this has been brought up but Batman New 52 (court of owls) issues #1-#11 have always been popular but the potential for this series in a movie or show is off the charts.
  4. We don't have many Spider-man key's but we were able to secure a copy of ASM #50 yesterday.
  5. Time is everyone's friend in the collectibles hobby it seems. Throw a dart at any comic convention "wall book" and in 15 years you're more than likely going to be happy 🤑. I'm sure there are exceptions but overall time is your friend and I definitely regret WAY more books I sold than purchased over the years.
  6. Marvel's first family. FF #1 in any clean blue label you can get.
  7. "Low grade is better than NO grade" rings true for me but I generally love 4.0-6.0 silver age and tend to get in that range whenever possible 🤑.
  8. Here is a group shot of our favorite 6 books.
  9. I just watched an interview with Blue Chip comics where he talks about the "3 R's" in the comic book hobby. Rarity, Replaceability and Relavence Fantastic Four #1 hits all of those box's for me so I'd pull the trigger but to each there own.
  10. Picked up at C2E2 on the first day and is our first ever 10 center!
  11. When you get in the $15k-$20K range and almost fall out of the ability to own a book in any grade I felt now was the time to get in or miss the boat completely. We will see what the future holds but this being a top 3 all time silver age Marvel book I don't see the popularity or demand for this book ever decreasing to much. At the end of the day we buy for the love of the hobby over the investment so let the chips fall where they may and we will sit back and enjoy the ride that is the greatest hobby in the world for my son and I.
  12. We were at the same show and had a lot of the exact same conversations with multiple dealers. At the end of the day I didn't get either of these books and instead bought the FF#1 (CGC 1.8) over a higher grade of either of the other books in this survey that I started. I honestly think this is an absolute coin flip and I'm hoping to someday own ALL of these books. Congrats on securing your ASM #1 and post pic's when you get it!
  13. Didn't think we'd be joining this club but found a dealer willing to work with us and made it happen. She's a little rough but to get a blue label FF#1 is a giant collecting goal achieved for us. We love it!
  14. I've looked through a lot of pages and tried searching but haven't found anyone talking about LIME green vs DARK green copies of X-Men #1. Any insight as to which is preferred in the market or is it really not an issue with collector's? Just curious and thanks in advance for any responses.
  15. All things being equal which do you want in your collection and why?
  16. In 2019 I was able to commission an original Joker and was lucky enough to get this photo of him putting the finishing touches on the piece. R.I.P to a true legend.
  17. Yes I used CCS for the pressing on this book.
  18. Before and after pics of our copy:
  19. Finally added these to our collection!
  20. Traded for this copy not to long ago. Just sent to CCS/CGC today.
  21. Raw copy I found locally last week. Off to CCS/CGC today.
  22. Raw mid-grade I just picked up locally and sent to CCS/CCG today.
  23. I agree and would add that Iron Man started the MCU and will always have a large following for multiple generations as kids have grown up watching these movies. Disney used Iron Man as the centerpiece of the MCU and will always have a huge following.
