  1. I can still remember seeing the black costume on the ASM252 and SW8 covers and thinking “this is gonna be worth something one day. I better buy two copies”! 😂
  2. Yours appear to be doing better than my stacks of Saga of Swamp Thing 1’s and All Star Squadron 1’s I snagged from the rack around that same time!
  3. 2022 was a good year and it was hard to narrow it down to three favorites. 1. Got lucky on this WWT 15. It’s one of the tougher non western 30 cent price variants and is in really nice condition. Picked it up for just $12 as the only bidder of a 6 day eBay auction. By far my best deal of 2022. 2. Doctor Strange 13. I like collecting the oddities such as price variants, double covers and MJ inserts. To be able to acquire a 30 cent price variant with a double cover was really cool! Not sure I will ever part with this one! 3. Local artist and friend Brad Hudson does a lot of work for Topps doing sketch cards. He sketches Star Wars, Marvel, DC and Walking Dead cards. When I found out he would be doing sketch cards for the RR Parks Ultra Man series I commissioned one to match my Avatar! Signature dated ‘21 but I actually picked it up at the start of this year.
  4. The way Rom outsmarted Galactus was just embarrassing!
  5. Thanks for running the contest again this year. Always a fun couple of days. Prayers to you and your family. 🙏
  6. Question for those familiar with the binding process. Do multiple covers usually occur in bunches (like ASM 361) or are they just as likely to occur on a single copy of a print run?
  7. Nice!! I thought you sold off your 30’s a few years back. Are you going for round#2?
  8. Clink link from last month. May have to wait a while for it while it gets a reholder.
  9. Clink from last month. Now I regret letting my #1 and #4 go a few years back.
  10. Nice! It would be good to see variant collectors post their double covers just to what other issues are out there. In this thread I only recall seeing a WWT 15 (page 117) and the mention that someone also had that one.
  11. Checked another off the list. Didn’t come cheap but wasn’t going to pass on this one.
  12. Brings back memories! I don't remember pulling many of these from my mailbox that looked as nice as yours! Many of mine were pretty beat so I didn’t renew my subscriptions!
  13. Thanks for the reply. I’m questioning a regular auction style listing and not a one on one transaction. On a auction listing where the seller checks the “private listing” option the bidding is open to the masses and the bid page will look like this:
  14. What would the reason for eBay seller to do private listing/auctions? One reason may be to hide shilling but could there be a legitimate reason? Seems bidder identification is concealed with any auction style listing. Don’t see many but it grabs my attention when I do. Thanks in advance!
  15. I missed the window of opportunity to get an affordable Avengers 8 so I went with ASM 16. May as well throw in my ASM display wall with Bday issues for the family.
  16. I asked them similar question last month but specifically about 2 books and this was their reply: ———————— It's partially dependent on the value of the shipment as well as the number of books. 2-3 books up to $200 is still $25. 2-3 books up to $500 is $35 in shipping cost. Up to $1000 is $40 in shipping cost. Books over $1500 are usually required to be express shipping at a higher shipping tier. 17. I was fortunate this time and the last time this happened that the seller was over the top apologetic and cooperative in the return/refund process. I had history buying from both so that may have come into play as well.
