Official Canadian Newsstand Cover Price V****** Thread
icp004 replied to davidpg's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
It’s a shame that while a production defect like an extra insert or an extra cover would be like striking gold, a missing insert gets you the GLOD!!! -

Sweet book! I did a similar thing getting a Tom Palmer signature on a Tomb of Dracula #8.

Modern Star Wars Comics that are heating up
icp004 replied to mr_highgrade's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Probably more like warming up than heating up but it sure did fly off the selves at both locations of my LCS. I’d like to see a Bad Batch title even if just a mini series. -
Very sharp trio!!!!!

I don’t have many 30’s that are graded but I think I’ll join in. What prompts registry point updates?

Arrived today. Low grade but better than I was expecting. I normally get beat to the punch on these but got lucky this time.

Same here (early 80’s). I think I remember maybe a few that got mangled but the majority were in great condition surviving with only a brown paper sleeve covering them.

Does CGC update the scans of a book after a mechanical error submission?
icp004 replied to Timed's topic in Comics General
They rescanned the one I just received back last week. Maybe it depends on whether or not the label changed. -

CGC’s OFFICIAL Mechanical Errors / Returns Policy
icp004 replied to SpineTic's topic in Comics General
I did have to call customer service and they assisted me with how to avoid the 14 day window. Basically I used the invoice number of the 1st ME submission and added “-001” to the end. The new submission was created as ME (I’ll pm you a copy) and I was provided a ppd shipping label. At this point my questions are “will I be charged” and “will the book need to be regraded or just a straight reholder”. Thanks! -
CGC’s OFFICIAL Mechanical Errors / Returns Policy
icp004 replied to SpineTic's topic in Comics General
Last month I sent in a second mechanical error submission of the same book. It was just received onto CGC’s system as this: Service: MEMBER CREDIT What is a status of Member Credit and was wasn’t it MECHANICAL ERROR like the first time it was returned? -
Thanks for the quick follow up!

Just following up on the OP’s question. If not attending is is safe to assume that On-Site Grading a thing of the past?

I should not have jumped the gun by posting the CGC scan before I received the book. I can’t believe these inner sleeve scratches don't show on their scan. Should the inner sleeve move within the case? This one does so maybe it scuffed with shaking during the shipping??? This was a ME for label so can I submit a second ME on the same book? I hope so because it looks terrible. 😭

In from CGC after an earlier trip to Joey. This was another random discovery while rebagging. Not the same book from my original thread post on page one. That one also graded 9.4 but that was not pressed.
